Fans Spot Hidden Stan Lee Tribute On WandaVision

WandaVision has been an utterly bonkers and absolutely wonderful series to kick off the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As we are now seven episodes into the nine episode series on Disney Plus, fans are digging through every episode to fins any and all clues and Easter Eggs to the further the interwoven story that Marvel Studios has done better than any other film franchise in history. But, while many of these clues are meant to nod towards the overall MCU, there are some that are simply nods to the fans. And then there is one Easter Egg that is not only for the fans, but pays tribute to The Man who helped create the Marvel Comics universe in Stan Lee.

Stan “The Man” Lee is a legend in not only the comic book world, but pop culture in general. The man was a rock star during a time when comic books where regarded a trash. He helped create some of American literature’s greatest characters like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, and many, many more. And, he didn’t stop there, as he became the King of Cameos in nearly every Marvel movie there ever was. But, after his passing in November of 2018, a massive cornerstone of geek culture was gone. However, he will never be forgotten. Case in point: WandaVision gave us a nod to The Man in their latest episode. If you look at the “Wanda” license plate during the opening credits montage, you can see the numbers “122822”. That is, of course, the birth-date of Stan Lee himself.

This nod is just a great way to keep Lee alive in these shows and movies, letting fans know that their hero is with us all, always. It really is nice to see Lee mentioned in ways like this now that he can no longer cameo in these future movies and shows. It also lets fans know to keep an eye out for more nods like this in the future.

Did you catch this Stan Lee nod? Let us know in the comments below!
