While many fans were disappointed that the upcoming superhero film The Batman was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it isn’t all that bad to simply wait for the new release date. In fact, some people aren’t fortunate enough to have that luxury at all. Such is the case with one Batman fan who was unfortunately diagnosed with brain cancer. As a result, he’s been trying to get the attention of Warner Bros and those involved to fulfill his “dying wish.” His wish, of course, is to be able to see The Batman since he can’t wait for the new release date due to his health condition.
As he stated in the following Twitter post, seeing The Batman is a priority of his especially after having been diagnosed with brain cancer:
“I am once again asking @warnerbros @DCComics @wbpictures @mattreevesLA and the DC Fandom to help me see #TheBatman as a dying wish. The pandemic delay was too long and Brain Cancer is quickish. So please?? It was my #1 movie I held on for. #TheBatmanDeathWish”

As of this writing, it hasn’t yet appeared that he’s acquired the attention of Warner Bros. – but one can hope that will change soon. Some fans have certainly had similar wishes fulfilled before. Especially fans in unfortunate health that have been given the opportunity to see blockbuster films ahead of their release dates. So with this in mind, as long as this fan’s dying wish to see The Batman due to cancer is continually shared across the web, we can only hope he’ll be granted the opportunity to see the film.
The new film stars Robert Pattinson as the titular character. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast includes Zoe Kravitz (High Fidelity) as Catwoman, Paul Dano (Looper) as Riddler, Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) as Penguin and John Turturro (Transformers) as Carmine Falcone. Meanwhile, the rest of the good guys in the film include Andy Serkis (Black Panther) as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale) as Jim Gordon, Peter Sarsgaard (Black Mass) as Gil Colson and Jamie Lawson as Bella Real.
The Batman is currently scheduled for a March 4, 2022 release date.
