Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles Reconcile Over ‘Supernatural’ Prequel

It was recently announced that The CW is currently developing a Supernatural prequel series titled The Winchesters. The announcement, however, was met with a certain bit of drama on social media. Specifically, actor Jared Padalecki was upset that he’d only heard of the Supernatural prequel series via Twitter and had no involvement.

He made the following tweet regarding his disappointment:

“Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I’m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever.”

However, it appears that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles quickly set aside their differences regarding the Supernatural prequel series. Jared Padalecki soon made this tweet the next day, indicating that he and Jensen Ackles had a lengthy talk and smoothed things over.

@JensenAckles and I had a great talk, as we do often, and things are good. The show is early in the process with miles to go. We’ve travelled a lot of roads together, and sometimes those damn roads have bumps. Bumps don’t stop us. Once brothers, always brothers. #spnfamily”

Jensen Ackles then responded in agreement:

Love you @jarpad… Miss these talks. I forgot how much face time we always used to get. And I miss that too. I know you’re busy…as am I, but you’re still my brother. I miss you, pal.”

It seems that despite the drama, everyone managed to come to an understanding about the issue. And that goes to show just how trusting and loyal these individuals are to one another after years of working on the beloved series Supernatural. It also helps make the transition to The Winchesters a little more exciting now that it appears everyone has given the new spin-off their blessing. As such, hopefully we’ll know more about the spin-off soon – which is intended to be a prequel focusing on John and Mary Winchester.
