The next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, titled The Eternals, is soon to be on the way. Ahead of its widespread release, however, spoilers are leaking out from its initial premiere. One such leak actually reveals that a major pop star will be making his MCU debut with The Eternals.
Obviously, if you don’t want to be spoiled, then you shouldn’t read any further. If you’re okay with the following Eternals leak, however, then continue reading. Now, according to Variety’s Matt Donnolly on Twitter, it looks like One Direction star Harry Styles will be appearing in The Eternals. What’s more, the character is apparently playing Eros. If you’re unaware, Eros is actually the brother of Thanos – one of the MCU’s biggest villains played by Josh Brolin.
As stated by Matt Donnolly:
“Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos.”

This is a pretty surprising revelation. Of course, it’s unclear how much exactly Marvel could end up using Harry Styles’ portrayal of Eros. While his brother Thanos played a key role in the Infinity Saga, it’s unclear how much of a role Eros could be playing. As such, it’ll be interesting to see if anything else comes of this post-credits scene in the near future.
The highly anticipated and massive superhero film was directed by Chloé Zhao from a screenplay written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
The incredibly talented and diverse cast that will lead the epic storylines involved features Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman/Black Knight.
Audiences will finally be able to see the incredible Marvel Cinematic Universe epic The Eternals in theaters on November 5, 2021.
