There are quite a few Marvel Cinematic Universe projects on the way this year, with plenty of others planned for the future. One exciting addition for this year, however, is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – a sequel to the original Black Panther film which starred the late Chadwick Boseman. The new film is intended to introduce a variety of new characters that will have prominent roles within the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now a new leak has given us our first look at one such character – Namor the Sub-Mariner.
As you can see below, someone managed to leak concept art for Namor the Sub-Mariner which gives fans a look at the character’s MCU design. Interestingly, it’s quite similar to the look that Namor had in their original Marvel Comics appearances. It goes to show that Marvel Studios is still eager to keep their superheroes looking like their comic book counterparts.

While it is quite blurred, one fan also managed to create their own interpretation that gives a much clearer look:

Either way, they both indicate that Namor the Sub-Mariner will be looking very close to his comic book appearance for Black Panther 2. This now gives fans one more reason to be excited for the highly-anticipated sequel. It’s still unknown who has been cast to play the character for the new film, but many believe it to be none other than Narcos: Mexico and The Forever Purge star Tenoch Huerta. While that has yet to be confirmed, he would certainly be a great choice to play the character.
Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for further updates as we have them. But considering the film will be released later this year, it hopefully won’t be much longer before we have more concrete information.
Fans will be able to see the highly-anticipated Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, later this year on November 11, 2022.
