The Fast and Furious franchise has been around since the first film came out in theaters with The Fast and The Furious in 2001. The franchise has gotten slightly ridiculous over time, but that hasn’t stopped moviegoers from returning for more. The Fast X release is quickly approaching, so the marketing campaign is about to hit a blitz. With that in mind, the star and producer of the Fast and Furious movies, Vin Diesel, has taken to social media with the movie’s first look at Jason Momoa’s unnamed villain.

The Aquaman actor is seen in costume as Dante. The character appears to look different from Dominic Toretto’s past villains. However, many of the Fast and Furious villains share a similar style that is more fitting in past movies.

“Blessed to be a part of a Saga that encourages such great work from the many amazing artists that have made this the world’s Saga!” was the caption on Vin Diesel’s social media accounts. “A still from set after an intense, week-long scene with my brother.”

News of Jason Momoa joining the franchise is nothing new. The actor has previously teased his involvement in the Fast X movie. Momoa has said in recent interviews that while “people always think I’m just this dude who plays [macho characters]” he is now looking for more new acting avenues to try out. Momoa’s villain is described as “eccentric” and “a peacock at the highest level” when it comes to how “different” the character is.

Diesel also showed a new look at Michelle Rodriguez as Letty and is excited about the impending trailer set to premiere during this month’s Super Bowl.

Fast X returns with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, and Scott Eastwood. Also, news has come that Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot will return as Gisele Yashar.

Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad), and Alan Ritchson (Titans) are also set to make their entry into the franchise with Fast X. It seems like everyone and their momma will be in this movie.

Plot details are still unknown, and very little has been revealed about Fast  X. It’ll probably involve cars defining gravity and laws of physics. Fortunately, we don’t watch these movies for them to make sense.

Fast & Furious 10 AKA Fast X is set to race into theaters on May 19.
