    Sci-Fi Movie That Bombed At The Box Office Tops Hulu Charts

    It looks like an epic sci-fi movie, and box office bomb, has currently topped the charts at Hulu following its premiere.

    It’s always disappointing when a well-done original film doesn’t make a splash in theaters. Nevertheless, one sci-fi bomb has still found a way to top the charts on Hulu.

    It’s unknown how much this benefits the actual film and those who put the effort in behind it. But it’s no doubt nice to see it find an audience. Of course, it’s interesting to see that moviegoers weren’t able to support this sci-fi epic in theaters but chose instead to watch it at home via Hulu.

    A 2023 blockbuster from director Gareth Edwards managed to become the number one movie on Hulu. For a film that took years to create, and offered a completely original vision, one can only hope that more moviegoers have an opportunity to see it.

    The film, titled The Creator, is a sci-fi epic that only made $104 million at the box office on an $80 million budget. Nevertheless, reception to the film has been high, as some of the viewers of The Creator on Hulu have demonstrated on social media:

    The synopsis for The Creator is as follows:

    “Amid a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war—and mankind itself.”

    In addition to director Gareth Edwards, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Chris Weitz, the cast includes John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Allison Janney, Ralph Ineson, Marc Menchaca, and Amar Chadha-Patel.
