Fans have been eagerly awaiting the third installment of the Venom trilogy. The upcoming film, advertised as being the last entry in the series, is appropriately-titled Venom: The Last Dance. Now, as revealed in the newly-released trailer below, fans can see Tom Hardy reprise his role as Eddie Brock and the symbiote-centric adventure he’ll find himself on next for Venom: The Last Dance.

Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock has become a fan-favorite interpretation of the character, and one that’s even managed to appear outside of Sony’s Venom movies. As fans know, the post-credits scene for Venom: Let There Be Carnage paved the way for an additional post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home. This sequence allowed Eddie to return to his own world before leaving a piece of his symbiote behind.

Now that Brock is back in his own world, it sets the stage for Venom: The Last Dance which is finally hitting theaters this year. Of course, fans are hopeful Hardy’s character will have the opportunity to appear elsewhere in the franchises operated by Sony and Marvel Studios. In the meantime, however, The Last Dance looks like an excellent new challenge for Eddie Brock and Venom to tackle next.

Here’s the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance:

While the continuity between Sony’s own Spider-Man films has been rather ambiguous, especially when considering connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Venom movies have largely been well-received by fans. As such, it’s not much of a surprise that we’ve already reached the third installment of the character’s story.

Hopefully, however, it will continue to connect with viewers. In the meantime, the trailer definitely looks like this new film will continue the streak established by its predecessors, 2018’s Venom and 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Venom: The Last Dance is scheduled to hit theaters on October 25, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Venom: The Last Dance and any other Spider-Man or Marvel properties as we have them.
