Nicolas Cage first gave life to Spider-Noir beyond his comic book counterpart with his animated appearance in the Spider-Man movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Now, years later, Nicolas Cage is returning for a live-action Spider-Noir series. Fans can now get their first look at the Spider-Noir series in the teaser trailer below.
The series, which will be headed to Amazon Prime, was developed by showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. Cage’s character, fully dubbed Spider-Man Noir, is a version of the fan-favorite superhero that exists in an alternate universe inspired by 1930s New York City.
This places the character in the perfect setting for a classic detective story, which combined with the Spider-Man mythos, should offer fans a truly unique live-action adaptation unlike any other Spider-Man projects to date. With the immensely positive reception Cage has received for his work as the character’s animated iteration, it’s certainly exciting to see him offered the opportunity to bring the Marvel character to life in live-action.
Here’s the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir:

Of course, this is only a teaser trailer, but it’s clear that the attention to detail in Spider-Noir will be completely unlike anything fans are used to. This looks like a proper throwback to classic noir films and shows while also doing justice to the comic books that the property originated from.
Hopefully we’ll have more glimpses at the series and additional information in the near future. For now, however, this first teaser trailer is a great treat for fans that are looking forward to this adaptation. Especially after the animated Spider-Verse films teased the possibilities of such a series.
Fans will be able to stream the highly-anticipated television series Spider-Noir next year in 2026 via Amazon Prime in both black-and-white and color. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the show as we approach its release.
