We’re less than a few weeks away from the release of James Gunn’s Superman in theaters. Fans are eager to see how the iconic superhero will be reinvented and whether or not the studio’s plans for the DC Universe will succeed. On that note, the post-credits scene for Superman has been rumored to have been revealed online.

The use of post-credits scenes for superhero movies has become a norm. It allows franchises to continue setting up new projects and get fans excited for what’s to come. Naturally, fans are eager to know if Superman will follow that trend, and if so how it will set up the larger DC Universe as a result, since this is the first film of the new franchise.

According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, however, it looks like Superman could be taking a different direction regarding its own use of post-credits scenes. While the following information should be taken with a grain of salt, here’s what they had to share:

“Superman has two post credits scenes, one is Superman with Krypto on the moon looking at the Earth,” the insider claims, referencing a scene that has been shown in promotional materials for the film.

The insider also alleges that there’s a second post-credits scene as well, though it’s played more for laughs than anything else:

“The second is Superman and Mister Terrific looking at a giant crack in a massive building because the ground split in half during the finale and Supes says it’s crooked and Terrific gets all annoyed and walks away and kicks a rock. It’s a funny scene.”

Obviously some fans would have enjoyed seeing a tease for the next DCU project. However, James Gunn is clearly taking a different route when compared to franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While these post-credits scenes have yet to be confirmed, he has previously stated that the DCU movies will be more stand-alone while building a bigger world, and it looks like these scenes could fit with that statement.

James Gunn’s Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated DCU blockbuster as we have them.
