A new trailer has been released for the highly-anticipated fifth season of Stranger Things. The upcoming season is set to be the final chapter for the ambitious long-running television endeavor that began on Netflix in 2016. Now, nearly a decade later, fans will have the opportunity to see the show’s conclusion.
In fact, it’s already been more than three years since Stranger Things Season 4 hit Netflix. The show’s fourth season offered several major revelations for fans of the series. This included the introduction of Jamie Campbell Bower as the show’s overarching antagonist Vecna – who is featured in this new trailer trying to break into the real world.
Of course, Vecna is far from the only plot thread that will be addressed in the show’s fifth season. The Duffer Brothers have confirmed via Variety that the new season will tie everything together as they “do every last remaining thing we wanted to do with the Demogorgons and Mind Flayer and Vecna and the Upside Down and Hawkins and these characters.” They reiterated their statement: “This is a complete story. It’s done.”
Here’s the new Stranger Things Season 5 trailer which teases all of these ideas and more:
The cast of the show’s fifth season includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Brett Gelman, and Priah Ferguson. Jamie Campbell Bower, Cara Buono, Linda Hamilton, and Amybeth McNulty also star.
The fifth season of Stranger Things is scheduled to premiere with the first four episodes on November 26, 2025 just before Thanksgiving. The following three episodes will be released Christmas Day on December 25, 2025. Fans will then see the Stranger Things series finale drop on December 31, 2025 both on Netflix and in theaters.
