If the character Scorpion was real, he’d currently be saying ‘Get over here!’ to Simon McQuoid as the Australian director is being courted to direct the upcoming reboot of the popular video game, Mortal Kombat. The announcement that McQuoid is in line to direct the adaption came via Variety. Whilst not known for big budget films, the website describes McQuoid as ‘one of the most in-demand commercials directors in the business.’ The film itself is set to be produced by James Wan, who is set to helm the upcoming Aquaman adaption for Warner Brothers.
