Disney recently announced a delay for their upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White. Now a report claims that they did so because they fear Snow White could become a “financial disaster” for the company. As a new report reminds us, Disney “announced it had pushed back the film’s release until March 2025 – a whole year after the scheduled date – citing the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike as the driving force behind the decision.” According to the Daily Mail, however, they have a different explanation for Disney’s delay. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes this year have resulted in a number of production delays and cancellations. Now it looks like the series Welcome to Derry, a prequel to 2017’s IT and 2019’s IT: Chapter Two, will suffer one such delay. This was revealed by HBO and Max chairman/CEO Casey Bloys. While speaking at a press event, via Variety, he discussed the status of Welcome to Derry. Unfortunately, the series was originally scheduled to be released during the 2024 Halloween season. Hulu has become a great platform for cancelled shows to make a comeback. Now it looks like a revival for a cancelled Fox television series is in the works at Hulu. This news comes via Deadline. The Terrifier movies have quickly become one of the biggest modern horror franchises. Now the franchise’s iconic antagonist, Art the Clown, is set to return for Terrifier 3 as soon as October 2024. Martin Scorsese’s latest epic, Killers of the Flower Moon, has finally been released in theaters. However, it looks like the studios involved aren’t too happy with some of the decisions that theaters have made regarding the screenings. Captain Marvel was a success at the box office, even though reactions to its titular character were mixed.
