Let’s be honest, Tony Stark doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to prophetic visions, especially since his most famous one lead to the creation of the titular villain in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thankfully we now know that the one he had in the start of Avengers: Infinity War won’t spawn any murderous robots this time around. Read on to find out more.
To celebrate the home media release of Avengers: Infinity War, Vudu hosted a viewing party in which the directors of the film, Joe and Anthony Russo fielded fans questions via Twitter. One such question involved Tony Stark’s dream of a child early on in the film and whether it is in fact vision of a potential future. To which the brothers cryptically responded:
It was a dream, but dreams are mysterious. – Russo Brothers #InfinityWar #VuduViewingParty https://t.co/fomk9rs1y3

So it seems as though it is a dream, but there may be more to it than meets the eye. Interestingly, the child in Tony’s dream is named Morgan, who is actually a character in the Marvel Universe. In the comics he is actually the cousin of Tony Stark, not Pepper’s Uncle as the film states, and is a character always trying to get control of Stark Industries from Tony.
Until Avengers 4 hits theaters next year, we can only speculate, but it could be that we may end up seeing a little Stark running around at some point, especially based on something that Gwyneth Paltrow may have let slip earlier this year. Warning, there are spoilers.
She revealed in an interview:
“Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”
We will find out for sure when Avengers 4 hits theaters next year.
