Fans Have Started A Petition To Bring Back ‘Luke Cage’ Netflix Series

Luke Cage was cancelled by Netflix last month, and many Marvel fans were actually upset by this news. Despite the apparent decline in viewership, one very vocal group of fans is trying to bring the show back – and have started a petition. Normally these things don’t lead anywhere, but if there’s enough buzz – who knows? Maybe we’ll see the show again, even if it’s on a different network.

The petition reads (verbatim):

Luke Cage is the finest Marvel show in existence. It exemplifies herorics, sassy banter, great music, and family fun. The cancellation of this beloved show is utterly flabbergasting. We must fight to save our hero of Harlem as he fights for us.

Save Power Man!

While the finest show in Marvel existence is actually Daredevil, the petition has already gained almost 6,000 signatures at the time of writing this article, so it’ll be interesting to see where it goes. Some of the signatures read (also verbatim, spelling mistakes and all):

  • Luke Cage was a highly entertaining and thoughtful show left in the Cliffhanger situation. The the show, the character in the fans all deserve resolution to the story.
  • Stop cancelling all my Marvel shows!
  • Two great seasons and you cancel it?! Why? This is not acceptable! Bring him back!
  • Netflix please stop the BS and bring back Iron first and Luke cage!!!!
  • Netfix has done an excellent job with the gritty side of Marvel. Like Cage is also important in terms of diversity. If you do not renew Cage, perhaps bring Iron Fist back too in a single Heris For Hire series
  • Luke Cage was a highly entertaining and thoughtful show left in the Cliffhanger situation. The the show, the character in the fans all deserve resolution to the story.

Heroes For Hire Marvel

It’s interesting to see some love for Iron Fist on there as well. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens with the Marvel Netflix shows. Whatever happens, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
