Game Of Thrones Season 8

Angry ‘Game Of Thrones’ Fans Petition HBO To Fix Season 8

Season eight for HBO’s Game of Thrones has been going through a rough patch since the end of the first episode. Though the expectations were high leading up to the foretold epic the battle or battles the show has been promising, they have falling kind of flat. The Battle of Winterfell was too damn dark to see and many of the characters’ arcs have either been thrown out the window like a Stark or given a horribly written WWE heel turn.

Well, if this season has pissed you off like so many others, then you’re in luck. A new petition has found its way online calling for HBO to redo season eight of their hit—yet on a steady decline—show.

The petition mission states:

“David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

The petition can be found on where it has reached barely above 51,000 signatures (at the time of this article) but much closer to its new goal of 75,000 signatures. The people behind this act are hoping that HBO will take action and hire new writers, bring back cast and crew, and spend millions of dollars for a redo.

Game of Thrones has been slowly lacking in the writing and plot development department since season five with a few ups to keep fans interest going. That lack has become a full-blown case of bad writing and character decisions that goes against what their motivations and purposes in the show were. One of the biggest problems in this season are the arcs of Jamie Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen and how all this build for their roles in this show either taken a dump on itself or “jumped the shark”.

Honestly, what’s done is done.

The show could’ve used another season for a satisfying send to some characters but David Benioff and D.B Weiss got a whiff of that Star Wars money and took off.

Do you think the last season is on a correct course to the end or does it need saving? Let us know below!
