The Coronavirus has been making rounds all over the place, both in person it seems and especially across the viral network of the Internet. As is the case with such things, people will tend to panic, and it appears that it has so far resulted in one particular incident in which a Lithuanian man went as far as locking his wife in a bathroom.
As reported by DailyMail, the man began suspecting that his wife had acquired the Coronavirus after she fell into contact with a Chinese woman that arrived in Italy. Apparently her husband freaked out and contacted doctors over the phone in an attempt to reduce the risk of infection, which he then got the idea to lock her away.

Afterwards, his wife was eventually able to call the police. They immediately came down to the couple’s apartment in Vilnius and freed her. Of course, they still tested the woman for the Coronavirus, but her test came up negative. She did not press any charges against her husband and he was not put under arrest.
While the Coronavirus continues to spread globally, there was only one actual case so far reported in Lithuania. As for the entirety of the outbreak, it’s been reported that nearly 90,000 people have been infected worldwide and 3,000 of them have died from the Coronavirus.
It’s definitely been an interesting start to the year, especially with the way people have been reacting to the spread of the Coronavirus. In fact, one scientist has even made claims that the Coronavirus originated from outer space. Hopefully, however, we don’t hear about too many other panicky cases like this one where a man had to keep his wife trapped in a bathroom. It’s one thing to have an outbreak and another one to have innocent people locked away in fear.
