The Razzie Awards have been a staple in Hollywood award season for 40 years, taking a unique approach in highlighting the worst films/actors of a particular year. While a lot of their nominees are a shallow representation of what was bad in a particular year (the same 3/4 movies tend to dominate every category), it’s still amusing to see what films are deemed the worst of their particular year. Due to terrible reviews and an even worse financial performance, its no surprise that Cats took home the top prize.

Even though their ceremony was canceled due to the Coronavirus, the Razzies decided to still announce their winners to the world via an announcement video.  Check out the Razzie winners below (winners in bold):

    Hellboy (2019)

    Rambo: Last Blood

    RAZZIE® REDEEMER AWARD
Eddie Murphy / Dolemite Is My Name
Keanu Reeves / John Wick 3 & Toy Story 4
    Adam Sandler / Uncut Gems
    Jennifer Lopez / Hustlers
    Will Smith / Aladdin

While I disagree with some of the nominees (I thought McConaughey and Willis offered fairly strong work in their respective roles), the Razzie winners make a lot of sense. The Fanatic would have probably been my personal pick for worst film, but Cats was also abysmal with its lack of structure and poorly-balanced tone.
