One of many unfortunate delays that occurred due to the Coronavirus pandemic was the production for Netflix’s fourth season of Stranger Things. The season had just barely started production before the pandemic forced everything to stop for an undetermined amount of time. While that’s been incredibly disappointing for many fans that were already tired of waiting for the next season, it seems like cast member Joe Keery is treating the Stranger Things Season 4 delay as a positive.
Joe Keery explained that the Stranger Things Season 4 delay was a positive rather than a negative while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter. Here’s what he specifically stated on the subject:
“It definitely gives them more time to write, and I think that that’s always good. I guess there’s the issue of the kids growing, but apart from that, I just think that we want to get the show out as soon as possible for people. That’s definitely true. But something that the (Duffer) brothers have always been extremely, extremely controlling over is just the quality control of the show. So, if this just gives them more time to realize what their vision is, then yeah, I think it could be a good thing.”
He was also able to give a few “hyperbolic statements” when asked by THR if he had any such statements to give. He gave the following:
“‘It’s crazy! It’s crazy!’ Hmm, what to say… It’ll be worth the wait, hopefully.”
It definitely makes sense. Just because they aren’t filming doesn’t mean that the crew isn’t still working on the project behind the scenes of the production. Hopefully they’re using this time wisely as indicated by Joe Keery and they’ll be able to further perfect and produce a new season of Stranger Things that fans will all enjoy.
Actor David Harbour will be returning as Hopper for the new season, while the rest of the returning cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp. We then also have the return of Sadie Sink, obviously Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Winona Ryder, and Cara Buono.
