Gina Carano Reportedly Developing Her Own ‘Star Wars’ Styled Project

Although actress Gina Carano was fired from the Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian for a variety of controversial social media posts, she hasn’t given up on the film industry. In fact, she’s probably been even busier. It was recently revealed that actress Gina Carano was working on a new project with Ben Shapiro via Daily Wire.

While it’s unclear what exactly this project is, it was announced that Carano will write, produce, direct, and star in the project. Now a new report, via Daniel Richtman, suggests what this project could be. According to Richtman, this project could actually be very similar to Star Wars. This would no doubt mean it’s a way for Gina Carano to “fight back” against Disney’s choice to fire her.

With that being said, it’s unlikely that the project will be anything like the blockbuster franchise films that Star Wars is known for. If this new Star Wars styled project really is the Daily Wire film Gina Carano is developing, then it actually won’t reach that much of an audience. It appears that these Daily Wire projects are only intended for subscribers of the site. As such, it’ll more than likely be a low-budget endeavor. Of course, that also makes it more interesting to see just what it could be that Carano is up to. Only time will tell on that front, however.

There have been other past rumors about these project(s) that Carano is attached to as well. One such rumor was that it’s a John Wick styled project. And with that said, it’s also possible that these two projects are also one in the same. After all, a Star Wars inspired revenge flick starring Gina Carano actually sounds like a reasonable concept. And one that would probably appeal to those that subscribe to Daily Wire. But considering these are rumors, they should be taken with a grain of salt for now.

It’ll be interesting to see how this develops either way. So, as always, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on Gina Carano and her various projects as we have them.
