One of the additions to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which is finally now available to stream on HBO Max, was the inclusion of actress Amber Heard. She previously played the character Mera in Aquaman, and Amber Heard reprised the role for an appearance in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Interestingly, it looks like the actress had some issues with her character’s costume. Amber Heard recently shared a new behind the scenes video to her Instagram which reveals that she struggled with the costume.
What’s more, the costume video Amber Heard posted on Instagram also doubles as her 1000th post on the social media platform. As such, it seems to be something of a special occasion. Now you can see it for yourself down below, where Amber Heard also shared the following caption:
“A little set life exclusive of Mera in honor of my 1000th Instagram post. She’s beauty and she’s grace… @snydercut #snydercut @hbomax”
It should be noted that Amber Heard was one of the few cast members to join the film exclusively for Zack Snyder’s cut. Her character Mera appeared in the film’s Knightmare sequence, which brought in two other characters. These characters included Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke and Jared Leto’s Joker. The sequence was intended for new Justice League sequels. But, unless the movement to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse is successful, then we’ll likely never see these sequels.
Of course, Amber Heard is apparently still going to be involved with the DCEU when she features in James Wan’s Aquaman 2. The actress will once again play Mera for that entry, although some people are against her joining the film. In fact, they were upset about her being in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as well. Most of these individuals are supporters of Johnny Depp, and they’ve felt as though Amber Heard is to blame not only for domestic abuse against Depp, but for costing him his career. As a result, they’d like to see Amber Heard receive the same treatment. But for the time being, it looks like Amber Heard is moving forward, having just recently won a UK lawsuit over Johnny Depp.
