Although the upcoming MCU film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will start to close the book on the titular Ant-Man character, it’s still going to be moving the overall MCU forward. In fact, it appears that the film will actually push events forward revolving around Kang the Conqueror, a powerful Marvel villain that’s going to be appearing in the movie. While there aren’t many plot details currently known about the film, beyond the fact that it will further explore the Quantum Realm, we do know Kang the Conqueror will also be playing a part. Now in a leaked promotional photo for Ant-Man 3, it looks like fans may now have their first look at Kang the Conqueror in the film.
The image, which comes via The Cosmic Circus, shows what appears to be Kang the Conqueror’s reflection on a cracked Ant-Man helmet. The promotional photo was apparently acquired by a stunt performer who previously worked with Marvel. As is the case with Marvel projects lately, this take on Kang the Conqueror does indeed appear to be comic book accurate. As such, it seems reasonable to expect the character to look very close to this in the final film.

Some have suggested that the image of Kang from this crew shirt photo is actually taken from fanart by digital artist spdrmnkyxxiii on Instagram. As you can see in the below photo:

It’s worth pointing out, though, that Marvel Studios probably wouldn’t use fan art for official crew t-shirts, so we’re going to guess that it’s some type of concept art for the sequel.
As those of you who watched Loki (spoilers) already know, Kang the Conqueror will be making quite the impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the multiverse – and will be a force to be reckoned with.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is being directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness.
The confirmed cast for the film includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.
Audiences will be able to see Ant-Man 3 on July 28, 2023.
