Next month will see the debut of the DCEU take of longtime Batman nemesis, The Joker, in Suicide Squad where he is set to be played by Dallas Buyers Club actor Jared Leto. One of the most reassuring aspects of comic books are that thankfully we’ll never see anybody nearly as diabolical as the villains featured in real life, at least that’s what we thought. Now Marvel has revealed that one of it’s classic villains is getting an all too familiar redesign. Scientists predict that by the year 2022, every actor and actress in Hollywood would have starred in at least one comic book film. In order for this to happen though, studios will need to develop every comic property available to them, no matter how silly the premise. This fall sees the debut of a brand new Avengers line up, and keeping in line with the spirit of the weekend, it’s steeped in patriotism.
