A new report about trouble with Josh Trank and Fox states that Trank was “destructive” on the set. According to Entertainment Weekly’s sources, anyway, who said the following: Several high level sources close to Fantastic Four – spoken to independently of each other – have told EW the rift on set was not about creative differences but rather combative behavior Trank demonstrated toward the crew, producers, studio and even the stars. After bombing at the box office yesterday, and presumably for the weekend – the Fantastic Four reboot could not have had a worse opening weekend. Well, now, FOX seems to want the fans input on which direction to take the franchise. During an episode of Collider Movie Talk, Jon Campea revealed that multiple sources informed him that Fox had agreed to let Josh Trank film his vision of the Fantastic Four. However, days before the film was to begin filming,  Fox took out several big set pieces. Apparently, Fox also took over the final act and removed Trank from the editing room entirely. Filmmaker James Wan is reportedly in talks to produce a Mortal Kombat reboot for New Line, according to The Tracking Board. While the Mortal Kombat video game franchise has been a huge success, the movies are a different story. They were pretty tame in comparison to the game and the 1997 sequel (Annihilation)  to the ’95 original film is regarded as one of the worst video game movies of all time. WB has moved the release dates of two films involving Ben Affleck. The Accountant, a film starring Affleck, has been pushed from January 29, 2016 to October 7, 2016. Live By Night, a film that he’s directing, has been pushed from October 7, 2016 to an undetermined 2017 date. According to rumors from Warner Bros. insiders, the future of the DC Cinematic Universe will now center around Ben Affleck’s Batman. The sudden change came after an early cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was shown to a small group of WB executives. According to FOX Network co-chairman Dana Walden, the network is actively pursing a TV series based on Marvel’s X-Men. “We’re in negotiations with Marvel,” Walden revealed. “We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to announce something soon. Things just really aren’t going well for the Fantastic Four reboot from FOX. It has debut to horrible reviews, fans bashing the movie in general (before it’s even out) and now, the director has made it known that he’s not responsible for the horrible reviews: Who knows if this is true or not?
