Just someone with a love for all things media, having grown up with classic British TV and bonkers American film. Currently studying English and Creative Writing at university, with a need to articulate exactly what I think about everything. I ramble at a much more concise level on Twitter.

Warner Bros have made it common knowledge that there was going to be sequel to Suicide Squad, even prior to the release of the first film. But since the director of the first film, David Ayer, has been slated to direct the upcoming ‘Gotham City Sirens’, the question of who was to direct ‘Suicide Squad 2’ remained open. Well now we’ve got an idea of a potential director for the film, with Mel Gibson confirming that he is currently undergoing early talks with Warner Brothers for the role. Now, this is no confirmation that Gibson’s definitely got the job. But…

Here’s some new material for those YouTube videos that compile “celebrities that were nearly cast in a superhero movie”! In the movie that nearly killed the superhero genre ‘Batman and Robin’, a cameo was made by rapper Coolio, simply credited at ‘Banker’. However, in a recent interview, Coolio revealed that he was intended to have an expanded role in the sequels that never came to be. Although his expanded role would not have been as ‘Banker’, but instead as Batman villain ‘The Scarecrow’. But as the franchise died after ‘Batman and Robin’, and Schumacher’s sequels never came to be, so…

The Iron Man armour has gone through many iterations in the MCU, with the version in Civil War being the Mark 46. So, as you can imagine, these armours have come in all shapes and sizes, and so it makes sense for the armour appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming to be another new iteration. From the brief glimpse we got in the trailer, it would appear that the armour in the film is identical to the Mark 46 from Civil War. However, Hasbro’s recent announcement of the line-up of Marvel Legends figures related to Homecoming tell a different story. As you…

With the production of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and its still untitled sequel now well underway, it is inevitable that more news related to the two projects would be revealed in good time. And especially given that these two films are intended to wrap up the MCU as we know it and bring the current story arc to a close, any news related to the projects should not be taken lightly. It is perhaps, therefore surprisingly that one of the biggest details of ‘Infinity War’ was recently revealed by Kevin Feige himself. And that is the fact that that the film’s…

If anyone was paying attention to the majority of the marketing thus far, including the comic-con trailer and the behind the scenes reel, this set and selection of character has already featured quite prominently. Check it out below: See what…

The new Power Rangers film, in a word, ‘fun’. It just looks very fun, a great way to avoid boredom for an hour and a half. Much like the original it seems to revel in its own madness in the best possible way, with everything from the original get a new updated look. But still retaining a sense of the classic. However, there is something missing. And that’s the classic kick-ass theme of the original, which was nowhere to be heard in the trailers, and it unlikely to get a rendition in the final film. Never fear as one loyal…

In the current movie-going climate, reporting on up and coming films has very much become a ‘report first, ask questions later’ sort of environment. With it being very easy to make grand assumptions over the tiniest of details. And sometime theories and rumors being thrown about by the press just need to be put down, when they get out of hand. Case in point with the recent rumour from The Wrap that Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger, The Man from U.N.C.L.E), was Warner Brothers’ top choice for the role of Hal Jordan in the upcoming ‘Green Lantern Corps’ film.
