Just someone with a love for all things media, having grown up with classic British TV and bonkers American film. Currently studying English and Creative Writing at university, with a need to articulate exactly what I think about everything. I ramble at a much more concise level on Twitter.

There’s really not too much to talk about this little short teaser for the trailer, but at least we’ve got a date for that Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer! Speaking of this teaser, not much to say, just a clip of Happy Hogan making sure Parker’s wearing the new Spidey suit upgrades, as well as a very short tease of said upgrades action. People were mad last week when the footage wasn’t revealed, but they obviously can’t stay mad for long now – as the trailer will be released tomorrow. Check out the new footage below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbLP_SmhtuM Nice to see Jon Favreau…

There’s a saying that time heals all wounds, however that unfortunately wasn’t the case for Andrew Garfield, who reflected negatively on his experience with ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ franchise in a recent interview with Variety. “There’s something that happened with that experience for me where story and character were not actually top of the priority list, ultimately. And I found that really, really tricky. I signed up to serve the story and to serve this incredible character I’d been dressing as since I was 3. Then it gets compromised, and it breaks my heart. I got heartbroken a little bit.” There…

Zack Snyder seems to already be going through DC’s ‘Greatest Hits’ on social media. The director recently shared an image of Henry Cavill’s first costume test for Man of Steel, and the resulting picture, albeit light on detail, is certainly very interesting. Oh…wait…that’s not right. There we go, that’s better. As you can see there’s not much to see or say about the image. But I do find Zack Snyder’s strong internet presence as a director quite interesting. Perhaps this relatively close connection is why his fans can be quite staunch defenders of his work, especially against more distant critics.…

Though there have been rumors for a while now, it’s finally been confirmed by Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, that ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ will not open with the opening crawl that has been a staple of the Star Wars films thus far. When interviewed by Variety on the matter she stated that: “We felt [the crawl was] so indicative of what those Saga films are. Initially, we probably will begin the film in a way that is traditional, with just the title.” The justification for the change boils down to the fact that that the intention is…

Naturally with superhero movies being all the rage, many actors want a slice of that comic-book pie. And so one-tactic being employed by a large number of actors to get a role in a comic-book movie, is to just say publicly, that they really want to be a specific character in a comic-book movie, with maybe a ‘pretty-please’ added onto the end for extra neediness. All joking aside, the latest actor to throw their hat into that ring is Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creative mind behind the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’. Who is reported to have an interested in portraying the supervillain…

Fans clamouring for Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox to join forces and integrate the X-Men into the MCU are definitely going to be disappointed with what Kevin Feige had to say on the matter. When interviewed by Variety he simply said: “It’s an impossibility at this juncture. We certainly have enough films to keep us busy for a number of lifetimes.” So the response is basically the same as its always been, a simple ‘no’ right now, but never say never. Which is fairly understandable. His justification simply boils down to the fact that the MCU has got a…

Exciting news for Marvel fans! As the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is reported to be attached to screenings of Rogue One! This is hardly surprising, as Disney of course want to capitalize on one big blockbuster by advertising for another. This does however mean we can presume that the trailer will be available online before Rogue One’s release date on December 16th. Why? Well, that’s simply because Disney have already just done this with Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Releasing a trailer online for the latter, just before the former was being released in a large…

Ghost in the Shell (1995) is seen by many as one of the most iconic films of all time. And with good, from its writing, to its themes, and a mix of cell-shaded and CGI animation that was light-years ahead of its various contemporaries. But arguably one of the most iconic aspects of that original film was the score by Kenji Kawai. This brings us rather neatly onto a brand new fan-made trailer for the upcoming live-action ‘Ghost in the Shell’ by YouTuber Yoko Higuchi, who matches his edit of the trailer with a section of the score from the…

Holy sugar-honey-iced-tea… now that is a trailer! Right from the get-go it feels very unique and creative, from the music to smaller details such as the various studio logos look like they’re being shown through a projector. It presents a tone that you wouldn’t expect from a King Kong trailer, and yet feels right at home, probably best summed up with the nonchalant manner they justify the bombing of the island. And then things take a turn for the worse, (in a good way) when the beast is revealed! Gone is the catchy pop song, Kong is here to wreak havoc.…

Mysteries abound with this image that was recently shared, and then strangely deleted by the Russo brothers; directors of the last two Captain America films and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel. In a movie that is sure to have a TON of Marvel characters, who’s to say that there couldn’t be room for one more? And by one more, I mean – one of the most popular villains in Marvel history. Could Doctor Doom be coming to the MCU?! Check out the image here: https://twitter.com/KyleWilliamLee/status/798798438527692800 Now what we do know about it, is that it’s a behind-the-scenes…
