Free COVID-19 Vaccines Are Being Offered For Visiting Dracula’s Castle

There are several castles associated with the massive and haunting lore surrounding the infamous Count Dracula. One such castle is the iconic Bran Castle located in Romania. And, now, it appears those who are eager to visit Bran Castle, often actually referred to as Dracula’s Castle, can actually acquire free COVID-19 vaccines upon arrival.

This was announced on a Facebook post made by the official Bran Castle Facebook page, where they confirmed they will be holding a Pfizer BionTech Vaccine Marathon. According to the Facebook post:

“The Pfizer BionTech dose vaccination marathon will be open every weekend in May, without appointment, in Medieval Customs buildings. The hours of the center are as follows: Friday, between 14:00 and 20:00, Saturday, from 10:00 to 20:00 and Sunday, between 10:00 and 18:00. All beneficiaries will receive a ‘vaccinated diploma at Bran Castle’ and, if they opt for the visit to the castle, they will have free access to the Exhibition of Medieval Instruments of Torture.”

They also emphasized that you don’t have to actually enter Dracula’s Castle aka Bran Castle in order to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. So if you didn’t want to partake in the interesting offer they’ve made, and enter the iconic gothic landmark, you’d still be free to receive a vaccination either way. It definitely is an interesting way to try and drive up more interest in the COVID-19 vaccine.
The history of Bran Castle is truly fascinating and that alone is another a great reason to visit the location. The castle’s construction was first completed in 1388, where it now sits outside of Brasov. It is suspected to have eventually become the loose inspiration for Dracula’s castle was it was depicted in Bram Stoker’s original novel. Either way, it still maintains the type of historical resonance that makes stories like Dracula so compelling today. And, with the added boost of a free COVID-19 vaccine, it definitely makes a visit to the location all the more reasonable.
