According to The Daily Mail, the director of Star Wars: Rogue One, Gareth Edwards, is planning to create an entirely CGI version of Peter Cushing’s Grand Moff Tarkin. As you all may know, Cushing passed away in 1994 – but that might not stop him from reprising the role. There haven’t been any details as to how the character will fit into the plot of the movie but the source does say that “it’s a significant role” and one of the “most complex and costly CGI re-creations ever”. As always, take this rumor with a grain of salt – but…

Conceptual artist Steve Jung was one of the many artists that 20th Century Fox brought into to work on the Fantastic Four reboot. Jung decided to share a little insight on what he designed before he left the project: “Might as well show some work from this movie called Fantastic Four lol,” Jung wrote on his official Facebook page. “I was on this one early on before all the drama happened… none of my work made it to the movie (kinda glad) since it got changed many times after I left the project. Exploration of the Planet Zero and Victor’s castle…

A bunch of these Japanese executives flew over to meet with me and talk with me about it, and I thought that was just a phenomenal idea. With anime, the violence is so over the top and I thought it would be perfect.” Fans of anime and The…

According to Jon Schnepp, who just released the documentary The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?, George Miller will be directing ‘Man of Steel 2’. Scnepp didn’t reveal where he heard the rumor but he definitely said it with confidence and coming off of the success of Mad Max: Fury Road – it could make sense. Zack Snyder will probably be too busy to direct because he’s handling the Justice League film franchise. Also, it doesn’t hurt that Miller was originally supposed to direct DC’s first Justice League movie that eventually fell apart back in 2008. You can check out…

Obviously, the Fantastic Four reboot had problems. I’ve done my fair share of reporting on the matter – but I felt like this story was way too interesting not to report. According to BirthMoviesDeath, the original script for the Fantastic Four reboot had a very “Marvel Studios” feel to it and featured Mole Man, H.E.R.B.I.E., The FantastiCar and Galactus. It also featured way more action than the film that was released (not exactly hard to compete with). What happened? Well, Simon Kinberg came on board the project and was asked to slash the budget and re-write the script. You can…
