Actress Rose McGowan (Scream, Charmed) has exclaimed her thoughts on the new promotional billboard for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, which depicts the main antagonist Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) holding female mutant Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) by a forceful grip of the neck. Her words did not come happy: There is a major problem when the men and women at 20th Century Fox think casual violence against women is the way to market a film. There is no context in the ad, just a woman getting strangled. The fact that no one flagged this is offensive and frankly, stupid. The geniuses behind this,…

Wolverine is the best at what he does…and what he does has left quite a body count. Mr. Sunday Movies and the editing work of Oceansparks compiled a kill count for our favorite adamantium-clawed mutant (films only, the comic one would need a excruciating few days to get through), played by the long-running Hugh Jackman. The count includes both indirect and direct kills, and as much as want to count the cameo scene in X-Men: First Class, it sadly didn’t make the cut. The films in the count are X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (although…

It’s also worth noting that the third film, Blade Trinity, featured Ryan Reynolds as Hannibal King, which was the closest we got to the Merc with a Mouth before Deadpool. Snipes teased on Twitter his side of the answer in two…
