Robert Eggers, director of The Witch, spoke with IndieWire’s Filmmaker Toolkit Podcast, and revealed that his next film will be a remake of Nosferatu from 1922. “[It’s shocking] to me,” said Eggers. “It feels ugly and blasphemous and egomaniacal and disgusting for a filmmaker in my place to do ‘Nosferatu’ next. Sometimes fans can be a little more creative than the actual creators of the content they enjoy, and the upcoming game happens to be an example of such. One fan decided to take the recently-released WWE 2K17 video game and used it to create his own federation made up entirely by horror movie icons. Titled Ring of Horror, the federation was created using WWE 2K17’s community creations mode, which enables players to create their own superstars, title belts, shows, as well as arenas. Have you ever wanted to see a followup to 2003’s Freddy vs Jason? Perhaps a film with more characters, and even more bloodshed? That’s what horror fan Antonio Maria Da Silva has created; and man, is it awesome! At 14 minutes, the short film uses cleverly edited scenes and video manipulation from an endless number of classic horror films.
