TVLine reports that Season 5 of Arrow will “introduce the recurring role of a cocksure/reckless ex-Marine”. I sure hope this is someone from the comics. If it is, who could it be? I know I’m still holding out for Green Lantern. He has been teased enough. Hal Jordan, the second GL, the one we’re most familiar with, was a test pilot. Remember in one of the initial episodes of Season 4, we saw Jordan’s name on somebody’s flight jacket. Jordan may not be an ex-Marine. But there was a GL who was a Marine. Enter the fourth Green Lantern: John…

What’s the deal with Namor the Sub-Mariner? Supposedly, his rights remained with Universal Pictures. The same studio also owns the rights to Hulk. After their last movie about the jade giant, they shared Bruce Banner and his alter-ego with Marvel Studios; but to only use him as a featuring character. You would think they could do the same with the prince of Atlantis. Though Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has said that the whole ordeal with Namor is “complicated.” But on Kevin Smith’s podcast, Fatman on Batman, where the once indie director interviews all sorts of folks…

“The tone of the movie, while interesting, ran counter to the DNA of the source material,” Simon Kinberg said in an interview with podcast, Happy Sad Confused. While promoting his newest movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, the screenwriter talked another Marvel movie he recently wrote. “The source material of Fantastic Four is bright, optimistic, poppy in tone. There’s sort of a plucky spirit to those characters, and we made a darker sort of body horror version of Fantastic Four…….but it’s Fantastic Four. So it’s a lesson that I would learn not just for Fantastic Four but for any movie going…

Remember when Robert Redford played Alexander Pierce? Remember when everyone thought he was going to be the Red Skull? That would have been sweet. Though, Pierce wasn’t really a villain in the first place. Maybe that factored into that rumor. Alexander Pierce was one of the only agents who helped Nick Fury out when he was a fugitive in Nick Fury vs. SHIELD, the source material for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It so happened that all that hub-bub was just wishful thinking. Darn it, right? But what is this noise behind all that hub-bub? Since he didn’t die, fans…

Who is Star-Lord going to challenge to a dance-off next year, turdblossoms? Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 is in the process of filming right now. Surely, there’s gotta be someone to fill Ronan the Accuser’s shoes. He’s gotta be able to take what actor, Lee Pace, left, and carry the Guardians over to their possible appearance in Avengers: Infinity War. Well, according to JoBlo.com, he’s not a he, but a Her. Not just any her, but a Her with a capital H. Elizabeth Ebicki, who has already been reported to have a role in the film, will evidently play…

Marvel Studios has been on the move, turning superheroes into household names. They have a knack for finding the right actor or actress to bring their heroes and villains to life. Most recently, after Sony had their two attempts, the MCU did their thing with Spidey. It’s safe to say that Tom Holland was spot on. Also in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther made his silver screen debut. Chadwick Boseman knocked it out of the park. Not to mention, after his stellar job of breathing life into Ant-Man, Paul Rudd too brought his character to Civil War. So…

So we’re halfway through this year’s comic book movies. And it seems the only folks coming out on top is Marvel. That is, if you listen to the critics. Lets take a role call: Deadpool: thumbs up Batman v Superman: thumbs down Captain America: Civil War: thumbs up X-Men: Apocalypse: thumbs down Yes, X-Men is Marvel; but it’s Fox Marvel. But so is Deadpool. Hey critics, Deadpool is Fox Marvel! Oh, they can’t hear me. But seriously, it seems that if a comic book movie isn’t Marvel – Disney Marvel – then, it doesn’t stand a chance. The latest non-Marvel…

Alright, so the internet is going crazy over Captain America swearing his allegiance to Hydra. Not just any Captain America, but Steve Rogers, the original Captain America. In Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz’s new title, Captain America: Steve Rogers #1, Rogers pushes his sidekick, Jack Flag, out a helicopter and utters “Hail Hydra.” Everyone from Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, Captain America actor Chris Evans, Cap’s biggest fan Phil Coulson, to even Stan “the man” Lee have weighed in on this revelation. It was only a matter of time before the studio-merc with a mouth, Kevin…

From a box office standpoint, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did a stellar job. But if you ask a critic, they’ll tell you otherwise. We all knew that, though. What we didn’t know was that one of the actors of the film agrees with the critics. Jeremy Irons is the newest to take on the role of Alfred Pennyworth, Batman’s man-servant, and Bruce Wayne’s father-figure. Irons (Lion King, Die Hard: With a Vengeance) spoke with fellow U.K. fellows DailyMail. As the film “took a kicking,” he was asked if it deserved such. In which he answered: “Deservedly so.…

Warning! This article contains spoilers to X-Men: Apocalypse! So, I just came back from watching the latest installment of the X-Men franchise. Check out Screen Geek, Mark Salcido’s review. While I partially agreed with him, one thing that was awesome about it was that Weapon X scene. Sure, the movies may rely too heavily on Wolverine, and can’t do a single movie without him. But if his stories are the best Fox can churn out (yes, I’m even including X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Though, I’m not including Deadpool; he’s a total different ball field.), then they better hold on to whatever…
