Couple years ago, Kevin Smith took to social media to announce the returning cast for his Mallrats sequel. Everyday, he would announce someone new, like Stan Lee, Michael Rooker, or Jason Lee. The title was tentatively called Mallbrats. Now it’s been a couple years, and there really hasn’t been any word else. That is, until this morning. The filmmaker was on the Philadelphia radio station, 93.3 WMMR to talk his latest movie, Yoga Hosers. There, he made the announcement that Mallbrats will now a 10-episode television series. EXCLUSIVE @ThatKevinSmith confirms #MallRats2 is heading into production…as a 10 episode…

“This was a while ago, so you remember they were rebooting Superman, not this last time with Henry Cavill, they did it once before, um, (in 2004), yeah, when I was obviously young enough to play Superman,” Jude Law said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. That’s right, the Watson to Robert Downey Jr’s Sherlock Holmes could have been Superman. “This director was very keen to meet and impress it upon me and I was actually out in California and he said ‘Look, you just have to try the suit on. The suit’s amazing, and we’ve revamped the…

It’s old news now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had mixed perceptions. There is this perception that it’s black and white, a solid line, between the fans and the critics. The critics evidently hated it. And the fans loved it. I don’t feel that it’s as black and white as that. But I do feel that the result was a condensed version that the studio released to theaters. We will see how well that turns out when the Ultimate Edition is released to Blu-Ray. But like Fantastic Four, this mess looks to be a result from studio…

Those who made it to the end of Deadpool without having to sew their busted guts back together, heard Wadey Wilson tell us that Cable will be in the sequel. “We have no idea who we’re going to cast yet, but it could be anyone. Just need a big guy with a flat top. Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Kiera Knightly.” Silver-haired behemoths Stephen Lang and Kevin Nash were amongst those who announced their candidacy. But besides its title motormouth, Cable is the only character confirmed for Deadpool 2. We don’t even know if Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Weasel, or Vanessa…

I’m not sure if I heard this right, but somewhere through the grapevine, someone said that the newest Fantastic Four movie sucked. Not sure if that’s accurate, because usually when it does, the internet does nothing but bitch about it. Oh, what’s that? They have? BossLogic, known for his digital art, transforming fancasts and theories into realities (such as Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Ice Cube as J. Johah Jameson), shared his piece that may have made Fantastic Four a little better: When an abandoned Russian hospital makes for a good @FantasticFour poster pic.twitter.com/8wRfEUideF — BossLogic (@Bosslogic) May 30,…

When are we going to get this Gambit movie?! After several setbacks, including its star, Channing Tatum, threatening to quit, it looks like this movie will be pit into Developmental Hell. But remember, Deadpool went through all sorts of hell to get made. Though, Ryan Reynolds persevered. MoviePilot has this theory. It suggests that Tatum will not persevere, and jump ship over to DC. The theory stems from Rick Famuyiwa, who recently has been signed on to direct The Flash movie with Ezra Miller. As soon as he was announced, he started following several people on Twitter who are involved…

So wait, what? There was a rumor that the next Arrowverse crossover is going to be a musical. Where was I? I suppose this probably comes from the news that Supergirl will join her fellow DC-ites on the CW this fall. Therefore, there will now be four shows to team-up at the mid-season. (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. That’s not including if they want to throw Vixen or Constantine in there.). Both Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin shared the screen before this year’s Supergirl/Flash crossover. Not only do we have Glee alums, but also Jesse Martin, who…

Yesterday, there was this wild rumor going around that Thor would make a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It was all sparked by this picture director James Gunn posted to his Facebook. Evidently, Gunn was just having some fun, as he posted a new caption debunking the rumor. So, comicbookmovie.com is still holding on to something behind this pic, other than the reasons Gunn has blatantly stated. They believe that, instead of Thor, another hero who has wielded Mjolnir will be in the flick. Beta Ray Bill, a.k.a. Beta Ray Thor, is part of an alien…

In the post-credits of Thor: The Dark World, Volstagg and Sif brought the Aether to The Collector. In that scene, we learned that the teleporting smoke from Malekith the Dark Elf was an Infinity Stone. This was also used to set up Guardians of the Galaxy, as Benicio Del Toro’s Collector made his next appearance in the space opera. Well, it looks like we might see some more character-swapping. Just like most franchise filmmakers nowadays, James Gunn of the Guardians franchise likes to tease with social media. The latest of these teases is of him holding Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, on…

“I was rooting for Batman,” said Frank Miller when asked his opinions on this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film borrows material from two notable stories of each of the title heroes: Death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns. The latter was written by Miller, and gave an interesting take on Bats; most notably, his age. Most Batman stories place him at the start of his career, usually borrowing from Miller’s other story, Batman: Year One. The Dark Knight Returns calls for an older, seasoned Bruce Wayne. And the newest actor to put on the…
