Tony is a child of the 80s so has been pretty on par with pop-culture, sci-fi/fantasy, and anything that hits the nostalgia bone. Even before it was popular to be nerdy. Not only that, he still follows trends and what is going on in the world of TV, video games, and movie entertainment as he has his finger on the pulse of such things. He covers conventions and likes to bump elbows with others that share his interests at these geek-related events.

On top of veteran Blade Runner actor Harrison Ford making his return to the sequel, Edward James Olmos will also be making his comeback. It was in an interview with Thetrend Talk Show on Facebook and one of the interviewers did express that five months earlier she had asked him if he’d be reprising his roll as Gaff in Blade Runner 2049 and back then he told her “No.” https://www.facebook.com/TheTRENDTalkShow/videos/vb.1115968061853947/1241290002655085/?type=3&theater Since it has been brought up again during Thetrend Talk Show interview, Olmos finally announced to the world (facing the camera) that he will be coming back as Gaff in…

Netflix’s Iron Fist is on the way and although it has been thought that the street level characters have their own realm separate from the MCU, there had always been veiled references to the Battle of New York via the first Avengers movie in the Netflix series of shows. https://twitter.com/SuperHeroHypeYT/status/841364796142411778 A recent banner for Iron Fist was revealed with Danny Rand front and center. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn is pretty adamant about Marvel fans sticking around ALL the way until the end of the credits for his movie’s post-credits scene. A fan had asked him the details on that: “Mid and post credit scenes for GOTG Vol.2 or is that a nice big secret for us to find out? Either way I’m pumped!” Here’s how James responded: https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/840594103280660480 Since his first flick’s post-credit scene had no purpose but to amuse the audience with a Howard the Duck appearance that had no connection to the MCU. It sounds like it…

The director of the new Predator film, Shane Black, posted online a first look at the cast of the upcoming movie. Black starred in the original 80s flick and hopefully he’ll do this film justice with a pretty good ensemble cast. Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, and the rest of the cast appear to be sitting on a bus. https://twitter.com/Collider/status/839878475607650304 Perhaps this is a transport to some location via the ground instead of a “choppa”? Will more off-color jokes be shared once again? The cast will include X-Men: Apocalypse’s Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key of the comedy sketch show Key & Peele, Logan’s Boyd…

Entertainment Weekly debuted 9 photos of the Thor: Ragnarok ensemble of characters from the third Asgardian installment. Jeff Goldblum is all costumed up as Grandmaster and he does exude the similarities not unlike the version in Marvel Comics. The publication’s version shows him with blue skin, whereas Goldblum’s character has the same color theme in a different fashion, minus the skin pigmentation. Chris Hemsworth has his hair all trimmed up, but this wasn’t the first time we had seen him like this on the set of Thor: Ragnarok. He was teased by Mark Ruffalo on set with the same hairstyle last year.…

Writer-producer Simon Kinberg hasn’t thought that far ahead into who would take on the Wolverine mantle in the X-Men franchise, but with the New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and others on their way, he should come up with something soon. Kinberg said they were also waiting on the response to the Logan movie and decided…
