Here’s what he had to say: He’s bitterly disappointed in the past that he’s lost this guy who fought by his side. That character’s death must have been devastating to him, and he’s suffered. Believe it or not, there was a time before the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was an awful period of time for some of these characters – that were butchered completely. We didn’t really count the films made before the 2000 X-Men film and also felt that FOX redeemed themselves for X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Deadpool. Yesterday we learned that J.K. Simmons would be playing Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League: Part One film. In an obvious move to capitalize off of the recent success of Deadpool, Sony is bringing back the Venom solo film that was in development hell (or cancelled?) and moving forward with it.
