While doing an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck was asked about his sidekick – Robin. Here’s what he had to say: He’s bitterly disappointed in the past that he’s lost this guy who fought by his side. That character’s death must have been devastating to him, and he’s suffered. We get the sense that he’s suffered a lot of devastating losses before this movie even starts. Those hoping for something like this – will have to wait. Source: EW

With the recent news that Amazon is reviving The Tick (without the main star, however) this got us thinking. Why not a DREDD series? The Tick wasn’t really a success at all ratings wise but developed a cult following over the years – sort of like Dredd. Netflix already has Marvel and there are rumors that HBO will be developing a Watchmen TV series – so this makes more sense than you might think. Dredd has an enormous cult following and has sold very well on home video (even though the format is dying) and was perceived very well by…
Believe it or not, there was a time before the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was an awful period of time for some of these characters – that were butchered completely. We didn’t really count the films made before the 2000 X-Men film and also felt that FOX redeemed themselves for X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Deadpool. Interestingly enough, the recent Fantastic Four reboot isn’t #1 on the list: 10. Daredevil (2003) Some would probably argue that other films deserve to be on this list. To those people I say – stuff like the Dolph Lundgren Punisher, David Hasslehoff Nick Fury or…
While it’s been confirmed that Sylvester Stallone is indeed appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, not much else is really known about his role. However, he was apparently spotted on the set and here’s what his suit allegedly looked like: Now, this week, we’ve confirmed with someone on the set that Sylvester Stallone has indeed been filming scenes forGuardians of the Galaxy 2. The tipster, who wishes to remain anonymous, also told us, “His costume looks a lot like Judge Dredd.” Let’s hope it’s better than that. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is constantly evolving, and with each new casting rumor, fans are eager to imagine who might bring their favorite comic book characters to life. One of the latest waves of speculation surrounds the iconic role of J. Jonah Jameson—the gruff, fast-talking editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle and a well-known thorn in Spider-Man’s side. Earlier this week, a rumor circulated suggesting that legendary rapper and actor Ice Cube might be in talks to play Jameson in future MCU Spider-Man films. Although Ice Cube has publicly denied any knowledge of being cast in the role, the idea…
Yesterday we learned that J.K. Simmons would be playing Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League: Part One film. Some fans were disappointed that the actor wouldn’t be returning to Marvel to play J. Jonah Jameson but it’s been reported that Marvel didn’t even contact him. Well, BossLogic has taken a stab at what he thinks the actor could look like as Jim Gordon and here is is: Source: BossLogic What do you think of this? Sound off below!
Like DREDD, fans have been very vocal about their support for a 3rd Hellboy film. And also like Dredd, the film’s main star has also been supportive of that idea. However, while promoting Season 2 of Hand of God, the actor gave some not so positive comments about the film happening: Meanwhile, having mounted a personal campaign to get “Hellboy 3” made, Perlman admitted that it “probably will never happen, though you never say never never.” While it doesn’t mean that we’ll never see another Hellboy film (look how long it took to get a Blade Runner sequel) it may…
In a week that has had a few strange news stories, this one might be the strangest (or most random). AllHipHop.com was reporting that Ice Cube could potentially become the next actor to play J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man reboot. Here’s what the report said: I always have mixed feelings on rappers entering the world of comics, but there is an issue that people have in general. The reassigning of color to formerly white characters. I get it. To make progress they have simply made former main characters that were white BLACK. Nick Fury transformed. Johnny Storm was Sue…
In an obvious move to capitalize off of the recent success of Deadpool, Sony is bringing back the Venom solo film that was in development hell (or cancelled?) and moving forward with it. Here’s more from the THR report: Sony has tapped Dante Harper to pen a script for Venom, something that is being envisioned as a franchise apart from and unrelated to the upcoming Spider-Man movie in the works with actor Tom Holland. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, stewards of the Spider-Man properties, are producing and overseeing the project. So, this will be a stand alone franchise as it’s…
We now have the first look at the Power Rangers from the upcoming reboot – featuring Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin and Dacre Montgomery. Director Dean Israelite said that the story is going to reflect the lives of teens today and also commented on the film’s diversity: “From the very beginning, diversity was a very important part of the whole process,” Israelite told EW. “We switched all of the races around, but we made sure that the essence of each of those characters are who they were in the original show, and this really will be an…
