When the first official images of Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse were unveiled, fans had some strong reactions — and not all of them were positive. A lot of people were quick to criticize the look of the villain, with many joking that Apocalypse’s appearance looked strikingly similar to Ivan Ooze, the campy villain from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie in the 1990s. The comparison was made due to the costume’s purple and metallic look, which some fans felt resembled the over-the-top design of the Power Rangers antagonist. The reaction quickly spread across social media, with memes and comments flooding…

Sure, we just heard that Frank Castle will be making his MCU debut in Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil but that won’t stop people from asking about a solo Punisher series. Here’s what Netflix’s Ted Sarandos said about the idea of a solo series for the character: “It is possible for sure,” he told IGN. “That’s the beauty of the Marvel universe.” Netflix also wouldn’t be opposed to giving certain characters a feature film treatment either:  “Any of them could spin out into films too.” Who knows if he meant films…

It seems that every other week, there is a story about someone from DC saying something about Marvel or Marvel saying something about DC. According to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice producer Deborah Snyder, Marvel’s method of making movies is the least of their concerns: “I can see how people would want to make it this big, intense rivalry,” she told Empire Magazine. “Listen, they are so great. I loved Guardians of the Galaxy…our films are a bit more serious. They deal with things that are a little darker. Things that place them in our world.” Director Zack Snyder…

The Punisher will make his MCU debut next year on Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil and although Steven DeKnight won’t be running the show due to other commitments – he did talk about the character with Slash Film at the Television Critics Association Summer press tour: “The thing about The Punisher, and I think there are great things about each of those versions, but none of them was completely the Marvel version. And none of those movies were under the Marvel Studios banner until they recently got The Punisher back. So this is really the first time that we’re seeing…

With all of the Marvel Netflix announcements this week, we thought we would reiterate something – Dredd deserves a Netflix series. It’s almost too perfect not to happen and here’s why: 5. Netflix Is Making A Plethora Of Original Shows Besides Daredevil, Netflix has a lot of original programming and that is only expected to grow. The last time I checked, Dredd had almost 3 million ratings on Netflix (when it was on there) and had a rating of about 3.6 out of 5. That’s pretty damn good for a movie with 3 million ratings. 4. 2000AD Spin-Off Potential It’s almost…

And then they’ll crossover into a combined [Defenders] season once we’ve launched the first season of each of the four characters.” With Jessica Jones expected to arrive in the Fall and Luke Cage to begin shooting in early 2016, it’s interesting to see what Netflix and Marvel have in store for us.…
