Some very random Wonder Woman 2 news came out yesterday, in that Kristen Wiig is currently in talks to play Cheetah, AKA the villain in the upcoming DCEU film. Many people, including myself, immediately thought: WTF? But, personally, I like to give these things a chance before making any type of comment. Say what you want about DC Films, but they’ve actually been pretty great when it comes to casting. Quick Kristen Wiig Cheetah today for some fun #WonderWoman2 @WonderWomanFilm @PattyJenks @GalGadot pic.twitter.com/wqVKyjamc2 — BossLogic (@Bosslogic) March 1, 2018 The majority of the internet, however, isn’t as forgiving. Imagine that you’re a diver, and you’re going about your business and suddenly – you see Jason Voorhees. That’s exactly the idea that Curtis Lahr had in mind when he put a Jason Voorhees statue underwater at a popular diving site in Crosby, Minnesota. The original video was uploaded back in 2014, but there’s now an update – of which you can view both below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdIrgkcnIrw&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_Q4r9cukzg&feature=youtu.be It’s definitely pretty weird, and would be terrifying to come across if you were a diver. As for the future of Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees, a reboot keeps getting talked about -…

Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2 hits Netflix tomorrow, but some early reviews are already here. While they aren’t as good as they were for Season 1, the show still has a positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and currently sits at 80% at the time of writing this article. The first season had a 92% for comparison. The Good IndieWire: Season 2’s all-female directing staff keeps the show’s noir bent in place though doesn’t push too hard into the realm of art – but the clean approach works, as does Ritter’s always grounded and believable performance. SFX Magazine: Nothing about season…

Stan Lee is definitely doing that most people would be doing at age 95. Is he secretly some type of Marvel superhero? There are various different theories that suggest that, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Superhero or not, though, Stan the Man’s past few months haven’t been too great. First, he was accused of sexual misconduct (in a pretty sketchy report that he denied). Then, he was robbed of $1.4 million dollars – in addition to dealing with an assault case at his home after a hospital visit. Now, Lee has revealed a battle with Pneumonia, which at his age,…

Wonder Woman 2 is definitely one of the DCEU’s most anticipated movies coming out, but we haven’t really heard all that much about it. That is, until yesterday, when it was rumored that Cheetah would be the villain in the upcoming film. Now, according to a Deadline report, we may know who will be playing the character. The name will come as a surprise, as it’s none other than SNL veteran Kristen Wiig! According to the report: The hot name for the villainess role in Wonder Woman 2 is Kristen Wiig. Word is that Warner Bros and DC are in talks with Wiig…

Any time Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn tweets, the internet seemingly explodes. The director’s latest set of tweets regarding Groot are no different, and we’ll let them do the talking: First Groot is dead. Baby Groot is his son. — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) February 27, 2018 It may not be obvious but it is 100% clearly in Vol. 2 for anyone paying attention. — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) February 27, 2018 The internet is like Groundhog Day every time I point out first Groot died. Baby Groot has a different personality, a different body, no memories of adult Groot…

Justice League was a major disappointment both financially and to fans, and Henry Cavill’s CGI Superman mouth to remove a mustache he had to keep while filming Mission Impossible: Fallout was a major player in that. Most of the time Superman was on screen, it was really hard not to notice how truly f-cked up his face looked. Many, like myself, would have liked to see a Zack Snyder cut (if it exists) or at least something. The film had great parts, but was essentially a jumbled up cut that WB through together. After throwing shade at Joss Whedon last…

Earlier today, Kevin Smith revealed that he suffered a massive heart attack and narrowly survived. It was very shocking news, but good news in that the filmmaker was still alive to talk about it. Fellow Hollywood Star Chris Pratt sent out a tweet saying that we should all pray for Smith: Kevin we don’t know each other too good but I have loved you since Clerks and I’m praying my ass off for you cause I believe in the healing power of prayer. Can you please pray with me people!? 🙏♥ https://t.co/syB7BiQaoY — chris pratt (@prattprattpratt) February 26, 2018 This,…

Avengers: Infinity War is almost here, and with it being the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie yet (quite possibly the biggest movie experience ever) – it should come as no surprise that the movie could be pretty long in terms of runtime. A post on Reddit may have just confirmed this: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/803p3l/avengers_infinity_war_runtime_is_revealed_as_2/ It’s not really a surprise that the film will be pretty long, and it’s actually quite short if you think about the implications the movie has for the future of Marvel Studios. As we said before, it’s being touted as the biggest superhero movie ever, so it definitely…

Kevin Smith, popular director of films like Clerks and Mallrats, suffered what he called a massive heart attack last night. Smith is no stranger to the geek community, and it’s safe to say that many are breathing a sigh of relief to find out that the filmmaker is alright. He posted a couple of messages on social media, the first on Twitter: After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to…
