I want to start this article with a big, bold disclaimer: I love Arrow. To this day, I haven’t missed an episode. Granted it wasn’t the first DC television show ever created, it was definitely the most influential in terms of universe expansion, as it’s success led to The Flash and (probably) Gotham, who’s success in turn led to Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. Even Marvel’s Netflix series Daredevil seems to have taken some inspiration from the dark, grounded drama. With that being said, I sadly have to admit that after season two, Arrow’s quality has declined significantly; and it’s not just my…

Marvel fans were ecstatic to see an Inhumans movie on the Marvel movie slate when it was announced last year right after the DC movie slate was revealed. Movies such as Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and the two-part Infinity War (among others) were all announced, and one of the most anticipated movies was the last movie date on the list, the Inhumans. Inhumans would have been another team up film like The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Inhuman race has been slowly introduced on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. over the past couple seasons. The film was originally set to…

Years ago it was said that Heath Ledger pulled off the role of The Joker so well because of how deeply he immersed himself into the character. At one point, Ledger and his clown prince of crime counterpart were one and the same, so different between the character and the actor. Now, it seems as if Jared Leto has adopted the same strategy while filming his debut as The Joker in this summer’s upcoming Suicide Squad. During the actual filming of Suicide Squad, it was said that Leto really got into the part. He was known to play jokes on fellow cast members, and…

Sony and Marvel will be coming together to bring us Spider-Man within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something that at one time seemed like an impossibility to Marvel fans. Since the initial announcement, not a lot has been said about which company will be maintaining creative control over the web-slinger. The big man at Marvel, Kevin Feige, recently spoke with Collider on the topic and made it be known that it is in fact Marvel who will be in charge of Spider-Man creatively from Captain America: Civil War up all the way to his solo films (and beyond!). According to Feige:…

Daredevil season 2 premiered less than a month ago, and the fan reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Along with Jessica Jones and Daredevil season 1, all of the Netflix/Marvel origin series have received very positive critical and fan reception. So much so it was speculated at one time that the ground level heroes of Hell’s Kitchen could get a promotion to feature in Captain America: Civil War. While we’ve actually known for a while now that the Netflix heroes wouldn’t be appearing in Civil War, it was less clear if any early drafts included Matt Murdock or Jessica Jones or…

Joshua James Shaw was the concept artist behind the merc with a mouth, Deadpool himself, and his hot-headed sidekick Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Alexander Lozano was the man tasked with creating concept art of Deadpool’s other sidekick, Colossus. Although this wasn’t Colossus’s first inclusion in Fox’s X-Men Universe, his look was redone for Deadpool. It seems like Lozano wasn’t sure about the direction the character of Colossus was going to go in visually, based on early concept art designs. One early character rendition shows Colossus in a hood and Star-Wars-esque robe. Other early art, even though more reminiscent of the Colossus…

Now that early fan reviews are in, social media is starting to give us new information on Tom Holland’s performance as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Fans were questioning whether we’d be getting a significant chunk of time for the web-head, or whether his appearance would be reduced to nothing more than a glorified cameo. One specific detail that has been revealed was the amount of screen time Holland is actually seen in the movie. Now, thanks primarily to Twitter, we have a good idea of how many minutes we can expect to see the web-slinger:…
