Steppenwolf, the villain in this year’s Justice League, was seen as somewhat of a disappointment by many. Personally, I didn’t find the CGI nearly as bad as the rest of the internet apparently did, but I digress. It turns out, however, the character almost had a much more terrifying design. Conceptual artist Jerad S. Marantz posted the following design to his Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/BdGTzvcn75s/ Some complained about Steppenwolf’s motivations in the film not really being explained, but that’s probably due to the fact that Warner Bros. cut out giant parts of the film – including scenes with Darkseid and a way…

There hasn’t been really any kind of promotional material for Disney’s upcoming Han Solo movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, due to problems behind the scenes. The original directors were fired, and Ron Howard was brought in to finish the movie. Disney is also apparently worried about the film, and the fact that we haven’t seen anything when the movie is out in May is definitely cause for pause – especially for a Star Wars movie. There is now, however, an alleged description of the trailer we’re supposedly getting very soon, which reads: Not much, but here’s a rundown of…

We already knew that there was a Tim Curry Pennywise the Clown Easter egg in this year’s IT Movie, as it was revealed in one of the trailers, but I felt it would be interesting to point out again, now that the movie is out on digital, and will soon be released on Blu-Ray, as many fans might not be aware that it’s even in the film. It occurs in the “Beep, Beep, Richie!” scene. It’s interesting that it made its way into the film, considering director Andy Muschetti had some pretty negative things to say about it: “Most of…

In the depressing trend that’s sweeping Hollywood, yet another person in the industry has been accused of sexual assault. This time, it’s none other than Max Landis – you know that guy who wrote 2012’s Chronicle and makes it a point to let everyone know that he did in fact write Chronicle – and the allegations are on Twitter for everyone to see. I can’t imagine who is more scared in a post-Weinstein world than a famous director’s son. — Allie 4815162342 (@AllieGoertz) November 7, 2017 BTW, multiple publications interviewed me about this tweet and I gave on-the-record comments to…

After Tim Curry’s portrayal of Pennywise the Clown scared an entire generation, actor Bill Skarsgård knew he had big shoes to fill for this year’s IT Movie. He knew he didn’t want to do the same thing Curry did, as he wanted to make the performance something entirely new. As Skarsgård himself said back in September: “It was always important for me to reinvent It and reinterpret It in a different way. I sort of grew up with the Tim performance and I was very familiar with it and a huge fan as an actor, so my process of preparing for the…

The upcoming third season of Marvel’s Daredevil is definitely a highly anticipated one, especially after the cliffhanger ending of The Defenders. We also know that Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin will return, but it might be a little different than the character we’re used to – according to Vincent D’Onofrio. In a recent interview with Collider, D’Onofrio said: “It’s hard to top the first season, with Steven DeKnight’s writing, but Erik Oleson (the new showrunner) is a very good writer. I’ve shot some pretty cool scenes, so far. It’s different, but it’s very Fisk. It’s still very emotional. The character is…

Avengers: Infinity War is nearly upon us, with about 4 months remaining until we’re able to see the most anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film ever. Until then, however, all we have are leaks and trailers to hold us over – and apparently t-shirts, as a new Infinity War t-shirt has given us a new look at some of the characters, with the most interesting reveal being Iron Man’s armor. Yes, you saw that correctly. Iron Man has swords on his armor. While we’re not sure if this will actually be in the movie or not, as some promotional art doesn’t…

While Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Batman franchise is regarded as one of the best ever by fans and critics, apparently, the film’s star Christian Bale has mixed feelings about his time playing the iconic character. In a new interview with Variety, the actor expressed some deep thoughts on playing the role, saying: “Mixed emotions about it. I’m always eternally grateful to [director] Chris [Nolan]. For instance, Rescue Dawn, Werner [Herzog] and I had been trying to put that together for a few years. American Psycho, Mary Harron and I had been trying to put that together for a few years. No…

While some fans are intrigued by the upcoming Venom movie starring Tom Hardy, others have been annoyed by its lack of officially being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige and Sony’s Amy Pascal gave conflicting statement’s back in June about the movie’s involvement with the MCU, before Feige ultimately said: “For now, there is NO plan for Venom in the MCU. It’s a Sony Project.” Matthew Tolmach, a producer on Venom, was recently asked by MTV about the film and more specifically Spider-Man, and while essentially non-committal, Tolmach said: “We are making a Venom movie is what I’m going to say.…
