Although there’s the occasional division between fans when it comes to Star Wars, on a whole we’re mostly all drawn to the franchise for the emotional attachments we have with the world and characters within it. And in a truly heartwarming move by Disney CEO Bob Iger, he allowed a dying Star Wars fan to see the upcoming film The Rise of Skywalker in a private screening. It appeared that the fan had requested the opportunity to view the Star Wars film with his family before he’d passed away. The Rowans Hospice in Hampshire, England then used Twitter to reach…

The launch of Disney’s new streaming service Disney Plus had plenty of reasons for Marvel fans to purchase subscriptions. Aside from the fact they actually added the film Avengers: Endgame upon release, they added a variety of special bonuses as well. One such bonus was a deleted scene from the film, which showed Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in the afterlife. His journey ended up allowing him to meet a future version of his daughter played by actress Katherine Langford. The scene was removed from the theatrical version of the film and interestingly not included on the home video…

One of the biggest Hollywood movies that surprisingly never received any sort of sequel was Steven Spielberg’s E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Although the movie still hasn’t gotten a sequel (and probably never will, at least in the feature length sense), there is a new short film that acts as a brand new continuation. The film is a reunion between both E.T. and Elliott, once again played by actor Henry Thomas. As you can see in the video for the four minute long short down below, which is titled A Holiday Reunion, both E.T. and Henry Thomas as Elliott will be together…

We’re currently living in an interesting time for the slasher film subgenre of horror. Many of the icons we’ve grown up with have been making a comeback – perhaps most recently has been Michael Myers. The popular boogeyman made a smash at the box office in 2018, and two sequels were quickly greenlit. Other horror reboots have been greenlit as a result as well – and currently people are looking for ways to bring similar icons like Freddy Krueger back to the screen also. And while we wait to see how those films turn out, one franchise has been in…

We’re incredibly close to the release of Blumhouse’s upcoming horror film Black Christmas, which is the second remake of Bob Clark’s 1974 slasher film of the same name. While the original Black Christmas has remained something of a classic over the decades, director Sophia Takal decided to only loosely base her Black Christmas remake on the original. In fact, during a new interview, she claimed her interpretation of Black Christmas is a “fiercely feminist” take on the original classic. Here’s what she stated: “You know, this movie, even though it’s very, very loosely based on Black Christmas, I’d say the…

The latest sequel in the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Dark Fate, once again attempted to reboot all past installments released after Terminator 2: Judgment Day. One of the ways they promoted this was by stating John Connor actor Edward Furlong would be returning to portray the character for the first time since Terminator 2. Of course, for those who’ve managed to see Terminator: Dark Fate, they’ll know that John Connor and for that matter Edward Furlong do not really play a part in the new film. The character is killed off in the very opening, after being brought to life with…

It’s a sad time for fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000, which Netflix had recently revived for a 14 episode eleventh season in 2017 and another six episode twelfth season in 2019. It appears that streaming service Netflix will not be reviving the series for a third season, and that Mystery Science Theater 3000 has been canceled. While it is upsetting news, it’s not the first time the series had gone off the air. Usually the series manages to come back in some new shape or form on another network. The series’ creator, Joel Hodgson, recently tweeted his response to…

Although they haven’t had the best history with attempting to reboot the Universal Monsters franchises, Universal has continued to produce new films based on their classic characters of monsters and madmen.
