One of the most exciting additions to Disney Plus thanks to the company’s acquisition of Fox is that they’d be streaming almost every episode of The Simpsons. Unfortunately for fans of the long running series, they were disappointed to see that the show didn’t maintain its original aspect ratio for a good chunk of the earlier seasons available. The show was originally broadcasted in a 4:3 aspect ratio, and it had been cropped for 16:9, which cut off so much of the screen that some fans even complained it ruined many of the series’ jokes. As we’d previously explained: “While…

One of the biggest plights in the last few years have been half-hearted or uninteresting movie franchise reboots. One in particular that was just released to a rather low box office opening was the Charlie’s Angels reboot, which was intended to begin a new franchise based on its action-packed predecessors. But that seems unlikely now after a less than stellar box office. It’s ironic because the film’s director Elizabeth Banks stated in an interview before the film’s release that Charlie’s Angels could be a failure because men wouldn’t want to see an action movie starring women. According to her, the…

One of the most surprising franchise revivals in recent years has been the Saw franchise. It seemed like it lasted forever that people wondered if we would ever get a Saw 8, which ultimately became Jigsaw released in 2017. And although the movie wasn’t quite the box office smash that the original installments in the long running horror franchise were, it looks like the series is still going to be continuing further. We’re not only getting a new film featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock, but a new rumor suggests a Saw TV series is also now in the…

It’s become something of a popular joke among people to make fun of Walmart and its more eccentric customers that people tend to bump into. Unfortunately, some of these customers tend to get a little too crazy. For example, on November 13th, one man was arrested for a particularly wild stunt. It appears that he picked up a wire rack and then proceeded to use it to attack three random customers shopping in the store. He was described as having used the piece of metal shelving like a samurai by some sources. It was around 7:00 PM that night where…

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might have given the Infinity Saga its grand finale through Avengers: Endgame, but the franchise is nowhere near finished. Not by a long shot. Disney is not only continuing to release new Marvel Studios films in theaters, but their new streaming service Disney Plus will also allow them to release new Marvel content. More specifically, they’ll be able to distribute their very own Marvel television shows which will allow more emphasis on certain characters and the specific worlds they inhabit. Now what fans may be wondering is how exactly all of this new content will effect…

It’s already been nearly two years since Warner Bros. released their live action DC adaptation Justice League. The film brought together a variety of iconic superheroes including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and several others to the big screen. While the film was considered a mix bag from some audiences, its divisive appeal launched a campaign dedicated to releasing Zack Snyder’s original cut of the film. The campaign has taken social media by storm, with even director Zack Snyder participating in the action. For example, he’s even used the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag on Twitter to help bring attention to the…

Many horror fans have been excited to know that work has apparently started on developing a new Scream film. It turns out that Spyglass had apparently gotten hold of the rights to the franchise and as a result they’ve been working on a new installment. Of course, it’s been nearly a decade since Scream 4 hit theaters, and the TV series has been mostly unrelated to the films. As such, fans have been cautious about whatever this new movie could be and whether or not it would even connect to the original four films. But, according to a new rumor,…

It seems like actor Nicolas Cage is constantly taking up crazier roles in even crazier movies – but this next project might just be his craziest yet. Why, you ask? Because the movie – titled The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent – will see Nicolas Cage playing himself in a movie all about Nicolas Cage. Yeah, this one might be hard to beat. Apparently the movie focuses on Nicolas Cage playing a fictional version of himself, one which must deal with his own career choices while simultaneously getting caught up with the CIA and a drug cartel kingpin. It might…

The Insidious franchise has been one of James Wan’s many contributions to the modern state of the horror genre, beginning with Patrick Wilson co-starring in the first Insidious film which Wan directed himself back in 2010. While it wasn’t as popular as The Conjuring is today, nor has it gotten as many sequels as Saw, it still has its own massive fanbase which has been clamoring for an Insidious 5 since the fourth film was released. Now it looks like star Patrick Wilson – who first worked with The Conjuring director James Wan on the original Insidious – has stated…
