There’s been a lot of “could have beens” when it comes to our favorite superheroes on the big screen. Nic Cage almost played Superman. Michael Jackson almost bought the rights to Spider-Man, so he could play the beloved web-slinger. When it comes to the caped crusader, there’s a plethora of actors who actually did play him. The newest live-action outing could have seen the likes of Josh Brolin, instead of Ben Affleck. In the ‘80’s, after the success of the Christopher Reeve’s Superman series, Bill Murray was set to play the Dark Knight, paying tribute to the Adam West interpretation.…

X-Men: Apocalypse is only a month away. Yet we’re still learning things about Fox’s latest Marvel picture. Director, Bryan Singer has just posted an image of Blob on his Instagram, as he lies defeated by Angel. Blob has been around since some of the very first issues of Uncanny X-Men as part of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He popped up in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, played by Kevin Durant. By the looks of this pic, he’ll be played by a different actor. Though, Angel will also be played by a different actor than his first cinematic appearance. In X-Men: The…

Just when I thought MTV was going to rename itself to RTV, they go and do something that restores my faith in them. As of late, there really wasn’t anything that deemed the “M” in their name. With programming such as Teen Mom and Jersey Shore, their demographic had done a complete one-eighty from its original intent. Evidently, the general public felt the same way, as ratings had reportedly hit an all-time low, to the point of the channel losing ad revenue. The heads over at that building that used to produce Total Request Live evidently decided to get theirs…

A few months back, I did a piece on the future of the MCU. I predicted and theorized what will ensue in the future of the cineverse after the Infinity War. Sadly, some of the veterans of the franchise, like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr, will retire. They’ll make way for the newer actors recently added, like Paul Rudd, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jon Bernthal. But while most of the main players have been explored, who will they go on to next? It has been recently announced that there will be a Cloak and Dagger show, on Freeform (formerly ABC…

As many characters from the Marvel movies have transitioned over to the television shows that exist in the same universe (Coulson, Agent Carter, Lady Sif, etc.), not many have jumped from the TV pond into the movie lake. We h ave yet to see if Daredevil or Punisher will show up alongside their comic book counterparts. But with the next half of Netflix’s Defenders, we might see those seams mend. Among the cast of the upcoming Luke Cage, Alfre Woodard (12 Years a Slave, A Wrinkle in Time) is rumored to also play a cameo in next month’s Captain America:…

See those lists on casting The Avengers or X-Men in the ’80’s? Well, as a child of the ’90’s, I decided to do one from my decade. The fun thing about the ’90’s is the little quirks and imperfections that led the way to this amazing technology we have today. There wasn’t a universe in the movies, like there was in the comics. But we still had a few Marvel live-action features to choose from. We couldn’t stream them instantly on our phones. But we had a piece of plastic with tape inside it to stuff into our VCRs so…

When Fox decided to bring Family Guy back from the dead, after its success of reruns on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, fans were intrigued by this new concept. Since, there’s been the return of such shows as Heroes and Dallas. Then there were shows, like Coach, that tried, but couldn’t get out of Development Hell. Lets take a look at those who either have, will, or should get a second life, whether on streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon, or back to the network who put them into the perils of cancellation in the first place. Did or…

An interesting bit of information came our way today from a pretty reliable source: With Season 2 of Daredevil streaming soon and Luke Cage on the horizon, Marvel is still looking for ways to connect their Movies and TV shows. A character that’s definitely on the table is Black Widow. Fans have been asking for a Black Widow Solo film but that appears unlikely to happen. What appears to be more likely at this point is for her to cross the mediums – where these street level heroes are receiving more character development. While it sounds unlikely, it does appear that…

Rumors started circling a couple years ago that Patrick Warburton would climb back into the blue rubber suit once again to become the superhero known as The Tick. Back in 2001, he brought the big oaf to life from the Fox Kids cartoon in the Nineties. Though the show only lasted for nine episodes, it was well received by fans and critics alike. Deadline has reported that the project has moved forward, as Amazon has ordered a pilot. Warburton is still involved. However, not as we hoped: only as an executive producer. The big guy has yet to be cast.…

Since their announcement, speculations have arose as to who Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone will be playing in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. While rumors say Russell will be Adam Warlock, more rumors surfaced that Stallone’s costume would be close to his from Judge Dredd. That left to believe that he would be a member of the Nova Corps, as their uniforms closely resemble the man who is the law. Well, according to HeroicHollywood, Stallone will be one of Yondu’s Ravagers. While this seemingly throws out all other speculations, such Star-Lord’s father, which Russell is also rumored…
