As the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves into its Phase 4 and the future of their interwoven storytelling, many of the new heroes will be developing their own personal narratives further and exploring who they are not just as heroes, but as people. One character that some fans feel need to be further explored is Captain Marvel. With the filming of Avengers: Endgame coming before star Brie Larson was able to film her origin film, there was little in the way of development for the hero. But now, as the Academy Award winning actress prepares to begin filming Captain Marvel 2,…

WandaVision has kicked it off with an amazing season on Disney Plus and 2021 is jam-packed with tons of Marvel content coming our way. But it doesn’t stop there. The Snyder Cut, now known as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, is just two weeks away from its long anticipated release on HBO Max. After four years of fans crying out in droves for this film, the four hour epic hits the streaming service and will showcase Snyder’s original vision for the film (which was meant to be two films, actually). But, sitting through a four hour film is borderline unprecedented, even in the comfort of your own home. Sitting for that long of a stretch could be overwhelming for many. Luckily, the movie will be broken down in to chapters,…

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving forward at full speed with its Phase 4. WandaVision has kicked it off on Disney Plus and is killing it right now, with one more episode to go. This will lead into so many other projects, like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and has opened up the MCU to the magical realm even more. It has also laid the groundwork for the multiverse, which looks like it might be explored further in the Loki series. Based around 2012 Loki escaping and creating an alternate timeline during the Time Heist of Avengers: Endgame,…

You would be hard pressed to find a series on television or a streaming service that is more unique and question inducing that WandaVision. The kick off of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this how has flipped the superhero genre on its head with its insane storytelling. It has also done it in half hour increments. That is, until now. Episode 7 was 42 minutes long, and even had an after credits scene. Episode 8 was 47 minutes and also included a post credits scene. With just the final episode left, many have wondered how long this episode…

The theatrical release of Justice League was a hot mess, to say the least. After director Zack Snyder was forced to leave the project due to family issues, Joss Whedon was brought in in the hopes of getting some of that Avengers success. Unfortunately, the script rewrites and reshoots hurt the movie incredibly. Speaking of those reshoots, there is the blaring ‘MustacheGate’ issue with Henry Cavill returning during his filming of Mission Impossible: Fallout. The long and the short of it: Paramount Pictures refused to let Cavill shave his mustache for the Justice League reshoots, so WB horrendously ‘removed’ it…

Ever since Zack Snyder walked away from Justice League due to family issues and Joss Whedon was brought in to finish the film, rather unsuccessfully, the DCEU has been in a weird flux. Their connected universe did not take off like the Marvel Cinematic Universe did and in fact it mostly flopped due to multiple reasons. Because of this, many projects were scrapped and in turn new takes and stand alone movies were put into production. With this, Superman has all but been put on the back burner. Henry Cavill, who is still ready and willing to don the cape…

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has made their name on the backs of elevating lower level comic book characters into elite level icons. Iron Man was B list at best in the comics, not exactly a household name, yet he became the foundation for the most successful interconnected film franchise in history. The Guardians of the Galaxy were as obscure as they come, yet are now one of the most popular teams in cinema. Marvel isn’t going to buck this trend any time soon, either. One of the most anticipated films that are upcoming is Eternals, about a group of immortal…

With the state of the world throwing everything into a hellish blender and pureeing it all into nothingness, one would be hard pressed to fault the entertainment industry for all but shutting down completely in 2020. This shut down forced a huge delay for films, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All of its 2020 titles, the films and Disney Plus series meant to kick off their Phase 4, were pushed back to 2021, giving us our first year without an MCU release in over ten years. But, as we roar into 2021, starting with the stellar WandaVision series, we look…
