After quite a long wait, we finally have a release date for Marvel’s The Punisher, as well as a brand new trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMW_dPtm7Bo There were rumors that the show could be delayed even further, after it was rumored to be delayed after the Stephen Paddock Las Vegas shooting. Some even said that the show should never air at all, due to The Punisher allegedly being too similar to the Vegas shooter. Personally, I can’t wait, as the character has been my favorite character since age 10, and I’ve been wanting to see a series for some time now. After Bernthal…

Marvel’s The Punisher is easily one of the most anticipated shows for comic book fans everywhere. Set to premiere at some point this year, the release was delayed after the tragic Las Vegas shooting by Stephen Paddock earlier this month. Marvel and Netflix pulled the show’s panel from New York Comic Con and released a joint statement which said: “We are stunned and saddened by this week’s senseless act in Las Vegas. After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to participate in New York Comic Con. Our thoughts continue to be with the…
Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight is regarded by many as the best portrayal of the iconic DC Comics villain – ever. Ledger sadly passed away after the film completed filming, but that didn’t stop The Academy from awarding the actor with an Oscar for his amazing work. A performance like that requires a lot of dedication, something Ledger obviously had a lot of, but in a recent interview with THR, Batman star Christian Bale revealed just how intense the actor was during filming: “As you see in the movie, Batman starts beating the Joker…
DC Comics have made quite a bit of interesting moves as of late. They recently gave Batman a gender change, but the latest move of interest is with Joker and Harley Quinn. Writer and Artist Sean Gordon Murphy, who’s been working on Batman: White Knight, uploaded a pretty interesting photo of the two characters in a very sexually intimate position – though it’s not clear if it was before or after they had sex. https://www.instagram.com/p/BaMyrEQBACS/ Back in August, DC Entertainment found themselves at the center of controversy (who isn’t these days?) when they featured Dick Grayson (Nightwing) and Harley Quinn…
You might think that everyone is a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at this point. The films have grossed a ton of money and earned universal praise from critics and fans alike, but some filmmakers aren’t fans. David Fincher is one of them. Most recently, the Fight Club and Se7en director had some interesting comments about the approach of Marvel Studios (via Yellow King Film Boy): “Look, there’s a very large talent pool of people who are- don’t feel there’s much for them in terms of sustenance working for Marvel. And I think that if we can make a playground for…
Comic Book super fan and filmmaker Kevin Smith is no stranger to giving his strong opinions on comic book related things – including Batman. This latest thing, happens to be the recently announced strategy of The DCEU (or DC films). Back in September, DC Entertainment announced that while some films will still be connected, others won’t be. As Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns put it: “Some of the movies do connect the characters together, like Justice League. But, like with Aquaman our goal is not to connect Aquaman to every movie.” Kevin Smith recently had an interesting chat with Screen…
A new Black Panther trailer has been released courtesy of Marvel Studios – and it’s great! We were given a teaser trailer back in July, but this one has much more footage than that one. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will definitely be more excited after they watch it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjDjIWPwcPU&feature=youtu.be Kevin Feige was recently quoted as saying the upcoming Marvel releases will be different: “All of the next films by design have been built to be very different, to be very unique. Ragnarok, Black Panther, certainly as we get into Infinity War and even Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is nearing the end of…
By now, it’s hard to imagine Marvel’s Ant-Man having a drastically different look. Paul Rudd’s performance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been praised by fans, and the 2015 debut movie for the character was a Box Office hit. With the character getting a somewhat different suit for for Ant-Man and The Wasp, as well as the upcoming Avengers movie, we thought it would be interesting to show what the character could have looked like, based on concept art from Andy Park: It’s definitely different, and probably would have changed the film. Kevin Feige has said the next four Marvel…
Last night’s Saturday Night Live featured an interesting parody of this year’s IT movie. It compared Kellyanne Conway to Pennywise the Clown, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper to Georgie. While the episode itself wasn’t very notable (when was the last time SNL was?), what was notable was how easy they took it on Harvey Weinstein. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hlt3rA-oDao While they did finally tackle the Weinstein scandal, creator of SNL Lorne Michaels had previously said the reason they stayed away to it prior was because: “It’s a New York thing.” That’s an interesting quote for quite a few reasons, but we’ll let you find…
Back in July, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer leaked, though it wasn’t great quality. Marvel was quick to take down the trailer, but that wasn’t before fans took screenshots. Lots and lots of screenshots… One particular screenshot, that we actually posted back in July (but has since resurfaced elsewhere), features Chris Evans’ Captain America sporting a drastically different look! It’s already been revealed that other characters will be sporting some pretty different looks as well. Black Widow and Thor – as well as Hawkeye, all have had their looks revealed via set pictures and promotional stuff. Before this major Marvel…
