One thing that has been noticeably absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have to be solo movies for females. While they may not have fit into the studio’s plans at times, fans have still been vocal about it. We’re getting Captain Marvel in 2019, but that hasn’t stopped Thor: Ragnarok actress Tessa Thompson and other female MCU actresses from pitching an all-female Marvel movie. In an interview with CBR, Thompson said: “I think in that group was Brie Larson, myself, Zoe Saldana, although she ran off to the bathroom, I think, so she came midway through the pitch but she…

Last week, Tessa Thomspon, who plays Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, revealed that the character was bisexual, a first for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It gathered some mixed reactions, which prompted Thompson to clarify her comments: YES! Val is Bi in the comics & I was faithful to that in her depiction. But her sexuality isn’t explicitly addressed in Thor: Ragnarok. https://t.co/hmb5lYN5to — Tessa Thompson (@TessaThompson_x) October 23, 2017 In an interview with Rolling Stone, Thompson revealed there was actually a scene (that was cut) that hinted to the character’s sexuality: Thompson even summoned the courage to pitch Waititi on making Valkyrie…

In the latest edition of people on Twitter finding things to be offended about, UCLA student Tyler Roope is at the center of some real controversy involving his new student identification card. The card, inspired by Disney’s Cars, was named ‘Lightning-Kachow-McQ’. The boundaries had to be tested and I can’t believe this actually worked. My professors now legally have to call me this. Thor: Ragnarok is currently the best reviewed movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That doesn’t, however, mean that things were easy in the beginning. The movie is said to also be Marvel’s “funniest” movie to date, which would seem weird for an action movie, but not particularly weird knowing it’s an MCU film. In a recent interview with CBR, the film’s director Taika Waititi talked about how tricky the film was: “It was very tricky. We spent a lot of time in post-production, actually, figuring that out. It’s a very hard thing to strike that balance throughout two hours and…

After it was reported that Kevin Spacey apparently sexually forced himself on a 14 year old actor, Netflix has announced that the Spacey led show won’t return after this upcoming season. Kevin Spacey is one of Hollywood’s biggest actors – but recent events have told us that Hollywood isn’t what we may have thought it was. It looks as though Spacey could have a pretty big fall after recent allegations against the actor. In a recent article on Buzzfeed, actor Anthony Rapp accused the actor of trying to have sex with him when he was just 14 at a party: “My memory was that I thought, Oh, everybody’s gone. Well, yeah, I should probably go home,” Rapp said. Spacey, he recalled, “sort of stood in the doorway, kind of swaying. My impression…

Bryan Cranston has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump (a lot of celebrities seem to be), but wants to make one thing clear. He does not want the president to fail. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cranston had a very strong message for those rooting for Trump to fail: “It’s just astonishing to me. President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office, and I’ve been very open about that. That being said, he is the president. If he fails, the country is in jeopardy. It would be egotistical for…

This year’s IT movie was a massive critical and box office success and is potentially on its way to being the #1 grossing horror movie of all time at the Box Office. At the moment, though, it’s worldwide Box Office total sits at a very interesting number – according to Box Office Mojo: $666 Million. It’s definitely an ironic number, though it’s not quite certain if Pennywise is into Satan or not. What is quite certain, though, is that the film is one of the biggest horror movies of all time, and already passed The Exorcist as the highest grossing…
