The first trailer for the highly anticipated fourth Insidious film has been released, and is titled Insidious: The Last Key. Fans of the previous films will most likely be intrigued by the trailer, as it looks similar to the other films in the franchise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acQyrwQyCOk&feature=youtu.be As someone who isn’t really a fan of any of these movies, I can’t really say that I’m that excited. There has been fan art made depicting John Cena as DC Comics’ Shazam, but apparently – it’s gone further than just a “fan cast”. For those of you unfamiliar with the director of the Jeepers Creepers franchise, Victor Salva, it’s probably a story that you wish you would have never even read. It’s just that dark, disturbing and disgusting. So, it should come as no surprise that there’s some backlash for the upcoming film – given the director’s disturbing past. A new report from HorrorFreakNews takes it a step further, saying the producers of the movie intentionally sabotaged the film’s premiere: Having worked with the coordinator of the September 13th event, I was privy to information that has been previously unreported. Even before the…

It’s no secret that Marvel’s Inhumans hasn’t received the best reviews, and while that doesn’t always matter – it’s usually a pretty good indication of what something will be. The cast of the show took time to respond to the negative reviews in a recent interview with AP: “We’re kind of just loosely based on the comics. I think maybe the source of some of the mixed reactions to the little that people have seen so far [is that] there are a lot of people that love the comics, they’ve been around for decades, and it remains to be seen how…

Just last week actor Ed Skrein dropped out of the upcoming Hellboy film due to what he (and many vocal others) deemed to be ‘whitewashing’ – releasing the following statement: “It is clear that representing this character in a culturally accurate way holds significance for people, and that to neglect this responsibility would continue a worrying tendency to obscure ethnic minority stories and voice in the Arts. I feel it is important to honour and respect that. There I have decided to step down so the role can be cast appropriately,” the actor wrote in a statement. “Representation of ethnic…

As far as Horror films go, one of the most iconic performances of all time would definitely have to be Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown in 1990’s IT. His portrayal of the killer clown scared an entire generation for years, and gave many people a fear of clowns. While attending Fan Expo Canada, Curry was talking about a scene in which he apparently really scared the child actor who played Georgie, and got back into character for a moment – and he’s definitely still got that creepy sound we all remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvOvn-BHviQ&feature=youtu.be Curry definitely still has his humor -…
