Movie buff, animal lover, and avid reader. :D

I’ve seen every Marvel movie in the theater on its opening weekend. In the beginning, one could certainly be forgiven for leaving as soon as the credits start to roll. I mean, that’s when 99% of movies are well and truly over. With Black Panther, that’s not the case. But we quickly learned that Marvel had a knack for weaving each film into the fabric of the MCU. The tool that they utilized to their greatest advantage was the post-credits scene – a little extra snippet, often less than one minute in length, that either ties the movie to a…

Action blockbusters seem to suit Gerard Butler. He’s starred in a slew of them over the last two decades, and doesn’t appear to be slowing down yet, as Den of Thieves 2 is officially in the works! The film is set to bring back the cast of the first, including Butler, Curtis Jackson, Tucker Tooley, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Mark Canton ,and Alan Siegel. (Siegel is also Butler’s production company partner. Their company is producing the film.) Director Christopher Gudegast is also slated to return. Further details are slim at the moment, but Deadline gives us a brief synopsis: “Den of…

Star Wars may not have that much in common with Game of Thrones (aside from power struggles, huge wars, and mythical creatures – although GoT definitely has it beaten in the incest department). Be that as it may, the show’s creators have been tapped to head up a new set of films set in the galaxy far, far away. According to THR, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will write and produce an undetermined number of films for the powerhouse franchise. But a trilogy seems likely, since Star Wars just loves that sort of thing. Work on the project is set…

As always, there were a ton of awesome commercials during Super Bowl 52. (Personal favorites included Rapping Morgan Freeman and Dirty Dancing Eli Manning.) There were also several great trailers. Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom were the standouts. But another one generating a ton of buzz is Solo: A Star Wars Story. A standalone film set in the Star Wars universe, it’s an origin film of sorts. A cocky young man claims that he’s not only going to become a pilot, he’s going to be the best in the galaxy. Of course, we know he’s eventually going to…

In a move many have expected for more than a decade, director Mel Gibson has finally announced that he will film a sequel to his groundbreaking 2004 movie, The Passion of the Christ. The film made a ton of money and broke a slew of records when it was released. It was the highest grossing R-rated movie ever made  (until Deadpool came along in 2016). It remains the most profitable religious movie, as well as the highest grossing foreign language film in America. (I personally remember it being the first movie I ever had to buy tickets in advance for.…

WWE’s Royal Rumble event always has a few surprises in store. Some are throwbacks, like Rey Mysterio’s shocking entry into the match tonight. Some are completely random – who expected Vickie Guerrero? Or Ronda Rousey?! There are usually one or two disappointments as well. For example, tonight’s three-way title match between Braun Strowman, Kane, and Brock Lesnar was pretty good, until the boring, predictable ending. And of course, there are the eliminations you hoped wouldn’t happen. One thing that didn’t disappoint, however, was the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. The biggest stars of today (including Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Naomi,…

Yesterday, we brought you the first look at Brie Larson in costume as Captain Marvel. Our favorite erstwhile Asgardian princes, Thor and Loki, have had an evolving, but always recognizable, style throughout their numerous films. However, that very nearly had a major change in the third solo installment, Thor: Ragnarok. Concept artists Jackson Sze and Aleksi Briclot have shared their early ideas for the two characters, and they’re pretty “out there.” Sze’s art, shared on Instagram, shows Thor without his trademark silver chestplate and red cape. Instead, being stranded on the trash planet Sakaar, his armor is a hodgepodge of pieced-together scraps. He apparently used whatever he could find, fashioning a small shield for one…

Saturday Night Live has certainly had its share of gaffes in the past. Ranging from the mundane to the profane, it’s just part of the peril of live television. People have flubbed lines, tripped on stage, burst out laughing in the middle of a skit, and the list goes on. But rarely have the hosts screwed up this badly. Poor Sam Rockwell (a first time host) was in the middle of a skit in which he portrayed a teacher with especially dim students. He did a little bit *too* good of a job expressing the educator’s frustration, letting his potty…
