Have you recovered from Avengers: Infinity War yet? I haven’t. It’s going to take a few days to digest everything that happened in Marvel’s penultimate film. If you haven’t seen it yet, GO AWAY. SPOILERS AHEAD.  Still here? Ok, good. We can cry together. Man, that was painful. I mean, we knew we were going to lose some people, but *this many*? So much death and destruction. So many surprises too, but we’ll get back to that. First, let’s address the post-credits scene. And to do that, we’ll have to talk about the last few minutes of the movie. So…

One of the biggest movies of the year so far has been the thriller A Quiet Place. Its success has been a bit of a surprise, since it was made on a relatively low ($17m) budget, by an inexperienced director. It also has practically no dialogue. Yet it has so far grossed over $200 million, and spent several weeks as the #1 movie in the U.S. In fact, it re-took the top spot this past weekend, after falling behind Rampage the previous week. And now, we can tell you that a second installment is on the way. The film’s writers,…

2013’s Man of Steel was supposed to launch a five-part Superman film series, it has been revealed. While the future of the DCEU seems to be up in the air, we now know more about what mastermind Zack Snyder originally envisioned. He was intended to be to DC what Joss Whedon was to Marvel, weaving together a shared universe. That universe was to be introduced through Superman, and go forward from there. It started well enough. While some felt that Man of Steel was “too dark,” others praised Snyder for his realistic portrayal of a conflicted young Clark Kent. That…

The first leak contained seven seconds of grainy footage – but that footage gave us our first look at the symbiote overtaking its host. But now, finally, we can view the epic footage as it was intended to be seen. https://youtu.be/u9Mv98Gr5pY Journalist Eddie Brock does his best to keep to himself. The actress who plays Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie Lang is the adorable Abby Ryder Forston. She appeared in Ant-Man, and will be seen again later this year in Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, when Avengers 4 comes out next year, she’ll be portrayed by Emma Fuhrmann. The new report comes from ThatHashtagShow, and Fuhrmann also recently tweeted this: Woke up to sleeting rain against my window… 😩 pic.twitter.com/VIhUY4JNrz — Emma Fuhrmann (@EmmaFuhrmann) February 11, 2018 Why does this matter? Well, Forston is ten years old. She was just seven when she made her first appearance in the MCU. Fuhrmann, on…

In today’s edition of “how the hell did anyone notice that?” we have some possible information about DC’s upcoming Aquaman solo film. An amazingly eagle-eyed observer caught a Superman reference in a photo shared from the set of Aquaman’s reshoots. Aquaman’s director, James Wan, posted a photo of himself with actor Randall Park. It appears that Park’s character is being added to the film in the reshoot process. In the picture, Park is holding a few papers in his left hand. No big deal, right? But then, the internet did what the internet does, and dissected the image pixel by…

With a couple of minor exceptions, pretty much every character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been perfectly cast. It’s almost impossible to imagine anyone else playing Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, and the rest of the superhero squad. But the first – and perhaps most pivotal – stroke of casting genius was bringing Robert Downey Jr. on board to portray the brilliant Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, in 2008. It was director Jon Favreau who believed in the embattled actor when no one else did. It was considered a massive gamble. At the time, Downey was known more for his…

Dwayne Johnson, the erstwhile Rock, is an extremely likeable guy. His affable charm and great sense of humor have carried him through dozens of roles, even if the quality of the projects themselves is highly questionable. Let’s face it, this guy will sign on to pretty much *any* movie, no matter how ridiculous. He clearly isn’t hurting for paychecks, which leaves the most likely reason as one much more pure: he simply loves acting, and will take every opportunity to do it – so it should come as no surprise that he’s going to be playing Black Adam. That’s a…

Criticism of Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been rampant ever since its theatrical release. People hated so many things about the movie (obvious spoilers): Rey’s parents, flying Leia, Luke’s demise, the casino scene, the list goes on and on. There’s even a petition to have Episode VIII entirely stricken from Star Wars canon. It’s safe to say that Rian Johnson’s vision didn’t coincide with fans’ (or with Episodes VII and IX director J.J. Abrams’). However, most of the perceived “mistakes” in the film are actually more of a difference of opinion than genuine errors. But this one most definitely…
