Movie buff, animal lover, and avid reader. :D

The recent release of Deadpool 2 gave us so many things we were hoping for. Tons of belly laughs at horribly inappropriate jokes. The return of great side characters like Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Blind Al. Over the top fight scenes. And of course, a generous amount of fourth-wall-breaking. Yes, this movie brought us everything it promised. Well, almost everything. The only aspect of the film that was lacking is the portrayal of Cable. And even Josh Brolin knows it. Sadly, most filmgoers probably didn’t notice. Cable isn’t exactly an A-list character, like Wolverine or Spider-Man. He isn’t *too*…

Looks like you just can’t keep a good zombie down. Or in this case, a homicidal psychopathic one either. Throughout its eight seasons, The Walking Dead has gone through many ups and downs. It’s been the most popular, beloved show on television. It’s also been the most hated and vilified. Characters have been killed off who we were more than happy to say goodbye to, like Lori and The Governor. Others, like Hershel, Abraham, and most recently Carl, broke fans’ hearts. But there have been a few along the way who were very polarizing – loved by some, and hated…

In the umpteenth installment of the “will he or won’t he?” Batfleck saga, the needle is leaning heavily towards “won’t” at the moment. Speculation has been rampant for months that Ben Affleck is losing interest in continuing to play Batman and Bruce Wayne in the DCEU. But then, according to some, it’s DC losing interest in him. And of course, every day in between, everything is hunky dory between the actor/director and the embattled film studio. If you hold your breath and wait for the next contradictory statement, you’ll be safe long before you turn an unhealthy shade of blue. But today’s…

In 2014, a movie based on children’s building block toys was not only made, but it was actually good. Really good. I don’t even like 95% of animated movies, and I loved it enough to buy it. The quick humor, clever one-liners, and hilarious sight gags were on par with Deadpool – minus the profuse swearing, violence, and sexual references of course. The Lego Movie was that rare children’s movie that was equally enjoyable for adults, which was a huge factor in its success. But can the filmmakers catch lightning in a bottle a second time? We’ll find out for…

Since the traumatic experience that was Avengers: Infinity War, we’ve tried to think of all the many different ways our beloved heroes can come back to life. These are the three most likely: The Soul Stone could restore their souls to life (which would, in theory, bring back their physical bodies as well, if they’re trapped in the gem). The Reality Stone could be used to alter reality to a state in which they never died, and Thanos was defeated. So many Avengers 4 questions. And then there’s the Time Stone. It could be used in several possible ways. Will…

Ever since 2013’s Man of Steel, Superman fans have wondered when Man of Steel 2 would come along. Now, we might have an answer. You’re probably thinking, “But we’ve already seen Supes twice since then.” The character was, of course, an integral part of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. But those films’ purpose was to build and expand the DC Extended Universe. They had more to do with other characters than Clark Kent himself. The intention has always been to give the Son of Krypton another solo film. It was just a matter of when. Actor…

Avengers: Infinity War was an extraordinary film for many different reasons. However, one of its few flaws was a glaring one: the absence of Wanda Maximoff’s thick Sokovian accent. It sounded like a combination of Romanian and Russian, and made the Scarlet Witch character feel much more authentic . So why was it completely absent in the latest film? The Russo brothers recently explained: “We have intentionally tried to strip that accent away for a couple of reasons. One is you’ll notice at the beginning of Civil War that Black Widow is training her to be a spy, and two…

By now, I’m sure we all know that a LOT of heroes met their end in Avengers: Infinity War. (If you haven’t seen it yet, stop reading now.) Within the world of the film, the victims were completely random. It was this indiscriminate genocide that Thanos believed would bring balance to the universe. However, when it comes to the filmmakers’ decision of who to exterminate, more thought went into the choices. Speaking to ComicBook.com, the Russo brothers explained: “All of our choices are based on story. It’s based upon the road that these characters have traveled, in not only this…

We’re all still recovering from Avengers: Infinity War, but life must go on. Perhaps looking forward will help ease the pain. However, looking forward, in this case, means going backwards. The first MCU film of 2019, Captain Marvel, takes place in the 1990s. It’s a time period so far unexplored in the films, with everything preceding it taking place either in the 1940s or the present day (with the exception of a few random flashback scenes). But the move back in time presents some interesting opportunities. For example, vanquished villain Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) will be seen a few…

This is a support group meeting for those traumatized by the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Hang in there, we’ll get through this together. We’re here for you. Spoilers ahead, of course. Go away if you haven’t seen it yet.Still with me? Cool. An essential part of recovery is acceptance. So let’s admit what happened: Thanos killed everybody. Ok, half of everybody. But it sure felt like all was lost when the credits rolled. Not only did we lose beloved characters Heimdall, Loki, Gamora, and Vision in the course of the story. But then, the Mad Titan’s insane plan to…
