Fanboys rejoiced when Inhumans were announced as part of the Phase Three slate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As soon as they were, Agents of SHIELD used it to their advantage to incorporate the Kree/Human hybrids on their show, turning one of their main cast members into one (Skye, later renamed as Quake). Then, as the rights to Spider-Man were acquired, the schedule was shaken up to include his movie. Then, when the gamble of Ant-Man followed through, his sequel was added, and shook things up again. Things weren’t looking good for the Inhuman Royal Family. And when Disney’s Indiana…

When Willem Dafoe was cast in next year’s Justice League, the following news I expected to hear was that Sam Raimi was a producer or something. J.K. Simmons, who played J. Jonah Jameson in Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, was previously announced as Commissioner Gordon. It is also rumored that Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), will play Dr. T.O. Morrow, the scientist who created Red Tornado, in the Ezra Miller-starring Flash. Soon, fancasts were thrown out, as to who the former Green Goblin was going to play. The only clue given was that he’ll be a “good guy.” Dr. Fate was…

It’s no secret that Marvel is the most popular comic book company (sorry, DC). Fanboys may nit-pick, but not a single movie in the MCU has flopped. I can’t say that much for the Marvel movies produced by other studios. But what does that say when even multiple studios are producing your movies at the same time? Nowadays, you can ask a commoner, who hasn’t read a single comic book, who their favorite superhero is. And chances are, they’ll tell you a Marvel one. Sure, some might say Batman or Superman. But I’m sure the majority will say someone like…

For a minute there, I thought that maybe Marvel had got a hold of Doc Brown to borrow his Flux Capacitor. And if you haven’t watched Captain America: Civil War yet, you may want to see if you can get a hold of one to read this article. In other words: spoilers lie ahead. Remember in Ant-Man when a flashback to 1989 had Hank Pym confront Howard Stark and Peggy Carter? While modern day Pym was played by Michael Douglas, it would have been easy to cast someone else to play a younger version of the aged actor. But…

With all his commentary on pop culture nowadays, it’s easy to get annoyed by once indie filmmaker, Kevin Smith. One may think that he gave up his director’s chair to become just a mouthpiece on his podcasts. But rest assured, he’s still doing that thing we love him for. You can catch the trailer for his newest movie, Yoga Hosers, which stars his and Johnny Depp’s daughter. The proud fathers also make appearances, along with Justin Long and Stan Lee. https://youtu.be/3VsG1xtIwSk He’s hard at work on Yoga Hoser’s follow-up, Moose Jaws, which is actually the third part in a…

We all love Marvel and their surge of movies this century. But with so many of them, there’s bound to be some discrepancies. Many people cross these certain movies off as flops, and deem them abominations to the industry. As Ryan Reynolds put it, “It’s a genre. There are good horror movies and bad horror movies. There are good comedies and bad comedies. Think of it like that.” I’m an optimist. I believe that its not the entire movies per say, but certain moments in those movies, where things might have went awry. Lets take a look at those moments.…

If you don’t want any spoilers for next year’s installment, then avert your eyes. First James Bond, and now Mad Max. According to MakingStarWars, Tom Hardy will play a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: Episode 8. The report says that he’ll play a First Order Stormtrooper, who knew Finn from training. I guess not all his buddies died in the battle at Starkiller Base. It is said that Hardy’s Stormtrooper will recognize Finn, walk up behind him, and slap him on the ass. I’m so glad that there’s humor in these new ones, that are not in the form of Jar…

Captain America: Civil War spoilers follow: The third installment of Captain America could easily have been another installment of The Avengers. Besides the returning members: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, War Machine, Hawkeye, Vision, and Scarlet Witch — there were also newbies: Spider-Man and Black Panther. Bucky Barnes and Sharon Carter, from the previous Cap movies, were thrown into the fold. Even Ant-Man/Giant-Man (Paul Rudd) was able to join his fellow superheroes. And though Hulk and Thor weren’t present, they still had a presence, as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (who got a promotion from General to Secretary of State) asked…

The great thing about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that, with only limited characters, Marvel Studios was still able to embark on their massive cineverse. They didn’t own the rights to heavy hitters, Spider-Man and X-Men. They didn’t own any rights to the big Marvel movies that were released in the prior decade: Blade, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Ghost Rider. They did have a Hulk, though. Or, at least access to him. And though Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were produced by two different movie studios, they were able to cross-thread them to birth this MCU. A new report from CosmicBookNews…

Among the new characters that will be showing their pretty faces in phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is one whom we’re still uncertain when she’ll show hers. Black Panther and Spider-Man, who have their own movies on the docket, made appearances in Captain America: Civil War. Doctor Strange will obviously make his first appearance in his solo flick later this year. Although, he was name dropped in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, formerly Ms. Marvel, will have her own movie in 2019, in between the two parts of Avengers 3. Joss Whedon wanted…
