Last year’s Wonder Woman was a critical and financial hit for Warner Brothers, so Wonder Woman 2 was inevitable. We’ve already been given a few bits of information about what to expect in the Amazonian’s next outing, namely the return of Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins, the villain in the form of Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and the 1980’s setting. Now thanks to a couple of domains that the studio have registered, we may now know the film’s title. As you can see from the list below, many of them seem to be a reference to it’s eighties time-frame whilst a…

Now, I’m going to level with you here… I’m English. I tell you this because I’m not entirely sure of what a Comcast is. My first belief was it was some kind of evil company doing experiments on bunnies, and having since consulted an American – I found out that I’m not too wrong. In their latest nefarious deed however, Comcast may have dashed the hopes of many Marvel fans. The cable distributor and owner of NBC Universal has revealed that they are currently in the advanced stages of countering Disney’s $52.4 Billion offer to purchase 20th Century Fox and…

If there is anybody who could be considered a God amongst comic book fans, it would definitely be Stan Lee. In recent years Stan the Man has been cropping up in cameos in all our favorite films, most recently as a bus driver completely unphased by a giant doughnut shaped spaceship over New York in Avengers: Infinity War. True to form, the nonagenarian has now made an appearance in the recently released Deadpool 2, although you would need to be pretty eagle eyed to catch him. For those who have seen the film, you may have noticed the Marvel legend…

Back in 2016, nobody could have imagined the cultural impact that Deadpool would have had on society. Fast forward two years later and I’m sat in a packed cinema watching Deadpool 2 with my mother of all people – because she finds him hilarious. This just goes to show how much was riding on the Merc with a Mouth’s first sequel and I can safely say on behalf of myself, and my mother, that it definitely delivers! In regards to tone, the film is very similar to the first, with Wade Wilson remaining the lovable, foul mouthed, quick-witted rogue that…

Ever since it was first announced, response to Solo: A Star Wars Story has been lukewarm at best. Early reactions out of Cannes last week were all reassuringly positive, but what about the only opinion that matters? That of everybody’s favorite old curmudgeon, Harrison Ford. Well thankfully, a new interview with current Solo, Alden Ehrenreich has revealed just what his predecessor thought of the upcoming spin-off. At a recent press conference with the film’s cast and crew, Ehrenreich revealed that Ford did in fact enjoy the film, telling him during a recent interview that the latter decided to crash. It…

Okay, this article is going to be pretty spoiler heavy so if you’re the one person who hasn’t seen Avengers: Infinity War, you may want to exit immediately. For those of you who have seen the film will remember that in the film’s closing moments we saw the Mad Titan, Thanos finally make good on his promise to balance the universe and as such half of our beloved heroes began fading from existence before our eyes. Whilst we were shown how the heroes who were present in Wakanda and on Titan fared, we have no idea what the fate of…

One of the biggest pitfalls of the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe is that you often need to have seen every film preceding it in order to understand what’s going on in the current one. This is really apparent in the latest entry in the franchise, Avengers: Infinity War. If, for example you hadn’t seen Captain America: Civil War for example, you would have no clue why Captain America is on the run from the government. Often times there is enough of a gap between films that the writers can tackle this in their own way, but when it came to…

Going into Avengers: Infinity War, we honestly had no idea just who was going to make it out the other end. If I was a betting man (which my bank statement seems to hint at) I would have put money on the guy with an Infinity Stone in his head being six feet under before the post-credit scene roles. Which (Spoiler Alert) is exactly what happened to poor old Vision in the film’s climax – twice! But is this the last we have seen of android? A recent interview with Paul Bettany may have set the record straight on Avengers…
